We have election day in Germany today. Gave both my votes for the far right AfD party. My father and brothers voted AfD as well and my girlfriend too. The results will come in at 18 o clock. Im really excited. The mainstream media did evrything they could to make a smear campaign against AfD. They failed. Polls think AfD will have pretty massive numbers.
I always find it amusing when a person goes low IQ and shows openly its low status. Move on and you may reach the status of a parrot.
Dont know what this report is but all German poll organisations say that the AfD will make it into the Bundestag. Most even think it will be the leading oppossition party.
89 seat is a good start for a fledgling party, but it remains to be seen how much influence it will have and whether they can grow from here.

Its a gargantuan thing when you know how phlegmatic the german election system is. Conidering the fact how much the Merkel CDu already switched for the right just in panic for the AfD you can guess how much this will accelerate now that there is a powerful Oppossition. An oppossition that will rule the finances and has the power to ask questions.

Not to rain on your parade, but I highly doubt they will rule anything. From what I have read, 60% of the people who voted for AfD don't even support it based on exit polling They were protest votes.
Its not about ruling. When you join the parliament you get seats in comissions. You get seats in media commissions. You can call for investigations. Germany had no functional oppossition. The CSU got a desaster in bavia and their leader Seehofer already said he will demand a halt for any refugees and go much further right. There is no room for leftist dream utopias anymore and thats what matters. The AfD right now is the most important corrective in the german parliament.

Exactly. It remains to be seen what kind of impact the AFD can have in the Bundestag. Those 60% protest votes are not a stable foundation. Traditionally, far right parties have always shown to be rather incompetent regarding parliamentary work in the last four - five decades in many state parliaments in Germany. They very often have been extremely busy tearing themselves apart. However, I'm sure the next four years will be interesting and hopefully Merkel's last term..

I tested out of two semesters of history in college. So what? Please don't pretend that Middle English is all that hard. We had to read it in AP English in high school. I took two classes that in college that involved reading Middle English. Learn a couple of special characters and read it aloud and it really isn't that difficult. And Gothic font . . . again, so what? What's difficult about reading Gothic font? I aced Medieval Literature in college. The entire reading list was in Middle English. Knowing German isn't necessary. Nor does this have anything to do with our discussion, since Middle English is precisely the sort of thing you guys are calling dumbed down German. Look at it is way, Germans are America's largest single ethnic group in America. It's been like that since the mid 1800's. What do you think was taught ? During America's colonial era during the 1700's Germans were the second largest ethnic group in Colonial America. One notice that when you notice the names of the colonial towns along the eastern seaboard of America.
