"I was 15 years old at the time" -Ford
Most 15 yr old girls are looking for boys but not for sex. You have zero evidence she was some kind of slut at that age.

If true, that is almost a guaranteed example of lying to Congress

    SNIP
Further, the texts show Kavanaugh may need to be questioned about how far back he anticipated Ramirez would air allegations against him. Berchem says, in her memo, that Kavanaugh “and/or” his friends “may have initiated an anticipatory narrative” as early as July to “conceal or discredit” Ramirez.

Kavanaugh told the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath that the first time he heard of his former Yale classmate Deborah Ramirez’s allegation that he exposed himself to her in college was in a Sept. 23 article in The New Yorker.

Kavanaugh was asked by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, when he first heard of Ramirez’s allegations. Kavanaugh answered: “In the New Yorker story.”

Maybe "Calendar" Brett isn't as good with dates as we thought??

    Just reported on MSNBC

FBI has no plans to interview Kavanaugh acccuser Ford

WTF?? You don't interview one of the primary accusers as a part of your "background' check?? Just to check the boxes and say you pulled every thread??? Really bad idea, this....

I have to believe this single item item would be enough to get No votes on Kavanaugh from the group who asked for this FBI effort...

Even the female assistant said there would be many better ways to conduct a fact finding other than on live TV in front of Congress....

Zorro, the disgusting thing about this entire sordid tale, is that Diane Fienstein, Corey Booker and the others involved in this madness were elected by people who are eligible to cast a ballot and determine the lives of others. Then again, this is how it has always worked and to change it, would be opening another can of maggots.
In addition, Judge Kavanaugh's life is being destroyed by Blasey-Ford's EVIL desires to injure someone, anyone. Granted, Judge Kavanaugh would not give me the time of day or a second glance, but for me to sit by and say nothing, would be hypocrisy being that I say I stand for Freedom, Justice, Equality and Independence for ALL, as a Black Man, as a MRA, I am all about: al-Sharaf w al-Nazahat w al'Ukhua; Honoris, Integritatem, Fraternitas.

Senators lack accountability. I'd like to see a Constitutional Amendment that allows the State Legislature to recall their Senator. I think this would lead to better behavior in the Senate.
He will NEVER get the reputation back that he had before this campaign of slander and smears. But, he also is shorn of all delusions as to just how vile vicious and evil these sons of bitches are. That will make him invaluable on the High Court.

I also want term limits for US Senators, the entrenched ones are a part of what is known as Deep State, in my opinion.
As to Judge Kavanaugh, he is already a Federal District judge so his vetting process as far as the bogus allegations levied against him are already known to have no basis to them.
Mrs. Blasey-Ford on the other hand should face criminal charges of perjury, criminal contempt and civil charges of defamation.

I have no desire to see Ford charged. I would like to see her get the help she needs. Democrats should be sanctioned for violating her confidence and her legal team should be disbarred for concealing from her Grassley's gracious offer for a quiet depostion on the West Coast, which is all she wanted.

I suggested that she be charged, because without penalty for levying unwarranted charges against an innocent, in an open arena, such as a hearing as a deterrent for any future behaviors. Of course, All of the politicians with their hands in the proverbial cookie jar, need to also face stiff penalties for their audacious behaviors.

What a pile of horse ****.

WELL, LET’S SEE IF THIS PREDICTION DOES BETTER THAN SOME OF HIS OTHERS:

Nate Silver forecasts Republicans have better chance of reaching at least 54 seats than Democrats have of taking over the Senate.

When you posted, Nate had GOP odds of holding the Senate at 68%
Today he has them at 81%.

So where is the "higher political price to the GOP" for confirming Kavanaugh?

The deniers of Brett Kavanaugh (aka the passing-out-drunk "Bart O'Kavanaugh")'s sexual assault are in the minority.

To what extent that is expressed by Americans on November 6 is speculative, of course, but the preppy predator's public opposition was unprecedented.

Given the P-Grabber's sexual depravity, women seem especially motivated to vote.

Speaking of interesting takes from Nate Silver, Nate Silver's Forecast is that the GOP is now more likely to have *at least* 54 Senate seats next year than to lose its majority

    Strut.

Well, didn't that turn out to be a meaningless pile of drivil.

Politico: The Most Endangered Republican Incumbent Senator, Dean Heller, Just Took the Lead in Nevada and Might Be Securing His Reelection

Dems Blue wave turning into blue balls:

The Nevadan is the only Republican senator running in a state Hillary Clinton carried in 2016, and defeating him is central to any Democratic hopes for winning control of the Senate or preventing Republicans from expanding their 51-49 majority. But Heller has narrowly led Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen in recent independent polling, and Republicans are increasingly bullish about his chances to pull out a win -- even as Democrats nationally challenge for control of the House.

Rosen crows about her fundraising, but a lot of that comes from out-of-state, especially from California -- Nurse Nancy Pelosi's gang of thieves.

Heller has framed that as a negative: He repeatedly attacked Rosen during a debate Friday for raising money in California, accusing her of shirking her congressional duties in Nevada. The NRSC ran an ad calling for a no vote on Rosen to "kick California out of this Senate race."

Heller has also called Rosen a do-nothing House member with few accomplishments to show for her single congressional term, he has linked her to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Dragging this weakling across the finish line would be a pretty gloat-worthy feat of strength on our part.

Why are the accusations against Judge Kavanaugh non-credible?
    1. 36 years later, whilst you can have successful prosecutions from that sort of time gap they're few and far between, the memory gets worse over time, not better.
    2. Ford admitted she was drunk at the time as did Ramirez and Swetnick, again whilst drunk testimony can stand you have to combine it with the time gap?
    3. Ford cannot recall keys aspects of the scene, the house, the time, the date, how she got there and back etc Ramirez states she can't even be sure it was Kavanaugh who exposed himself. Swetnick states all she saw was Kavanaugh trying to get girls drunk in order to gang rape them (or so she presumed?) and that he was present at a party where she was gang raped (but took no part in it or was even aware of it himself).
    4. None of them reported at the time. They only reported all this time later when they saw Kavanaugh on TV.
    5. Ford 'recovered' her memories in therapy, a massive red flag to all sex crimes investigators after the fiascos of 'Michelle Remembers' and the McMartin 'Satanic Panic'. Ramirez recoverd her memories after 5 days 'consultation' with a notoriously anti-Trump lawyer. Swetnick was a stooge for Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels lawyer.
    6. All have solidly left wing credentials, Ford going so far as to wipe her online history before coming to the stand.
    7. Ford in particular seems to change her story repeatedly, over the number of people involved, when she decided it was Kavanaugh responsible, the doors on her house and her fear of flying etc
    8. Last but not least this is not a 'he said, she said' situation. This is a 'she said, EVERYONE else disagreed', every one of the witnesses who the accusers claim can corroborate their stories say they can't, unlike Brett Kavanaugh who can produce plenty of witnesses that he never did any such thing.
Some would argue that the whole Kavanaugh affair has retroactively justified people for voting for Trump, that it was the whole crazy behaviour of the protesters they were voting against, the sheer patheticness of the Dems attempts to keep him off the court plain for all to see, asking about his high school yearbook and that he drank beer in college? When the American people knowingly elected falling down drunk George W Bush and cokehead Barack Obama? Still, at least it gave us some funny t-shirts and a killer Matt Damon appearance on SNL. Some would also argue that this was the apogee of the #MeToo movement, that its' exccesses will now be curbed. Certainly it had an affect on the midterm elections, the GOP actually increasing its' majority in the Senate as well as a Republican President, Supreme court and majority of governerships. True the Dems retook congress but 39 seats is not a 'Blue Wave', Bill Clinton lost 54 seats at this stage and Barack Obama 63, what he memorably referred to as a 'shellacking'.
