The PBS special on Country Music was absolutely amazing. Lot's of stuff I already knew but a lot of surprises too. For instance I didn't know that Johnny Cash once did a duet with Bob Dylan. AS it happens I know songs by both of them. Yes my personal music tastes are more than a bit eclectic.
I sing a lot though I make no pretenses about being a professional. The show begins at the beginning and covers a wide assortment of musicians many of whom you wouldn't usually associate with C&W. Including the likes Louis Armstrong, Muddy Waters, and Ray Charles and that's just the short list. The show is well done and even if you aren't a fan of C&W it is well worth your while.
