Everything has its limits, except Universe. How long Israel can have a free ride? American taxpayer covers Israel's aggression.

Some people call it aggression, others call it self preservation.

I would be one of those people who call it self preservation!

Some interesting initiatives are going forward to attempt to get to the heart of the problem!

Hardly. America covers their own interests which are having a bulwark against communism/Jihadis/tyranny and Arab Nationalism which comes in the form of Israel, a land and peoples that ensures there will always be one piece of ground in the Middle East for them to use as a place to launch from if need be. This piece of ground requires no US soldiers to be based there and no need for extra aircraft carrier groups at the cost of tens of billions of dollars a year and has been described as such by Al Haig -

"Israel is the largest American aircraft carrier in the world that cannot be sunk, does not carry even one American soldier, and is located in a critical region for American national security."

On the other hand, Israel has to allow itself to be controlled to a certain extent in order to receive the paltry amount of three billion per year which it in turn has to spend on US weapons and, also has to allow for it's intelligence services to be used for US purposes and, has to acquiesce to having a muzzle placed on it's activities such as defending itself properly rather than just bombing their enemies into the stone age like any other nation that has hateful barbarians with no other policy than to eradicate them continually at their doorstep.

    .

Well, let's see. We've been chummy with Israel at the expense of the Palestinians for the past 60 years.

I say swing the other way for a few decades and eventually come to parity with both.

MBG Roadster....... did you know that near death experiencer Dannion Brinkley was shown that Israel would somehow politically unite with the nation of Jordan?

    http://www.politicalforum.com/political-opinions-beliefs/322565-gods-peace-plan-holy-land.html

    (post # 7):

    Dannion Brinkley:
......................"Boxes four and five were scenes from the Middle East, showing how this area of eternal strife would reach a boiling point. Religion would play a large role in these problems, as would the economy. A constant need for outside money fueled much of the anger and hatred that I saw in these boxes. In the first of these boxes I saw two agreements taking place. In the first, Israelis and Arabs were agreeing to something, but what was unclear to me.The second accord was one that I could see in some detail. Men were shaking hands and there was much talk about a new country. Then I saw a collage of images: the River Jordan, a settlement from Israel that was spreading into Jordan, and a map on which the country of Jordan was changing color.

As I watched this puzzling collage unfold, I heard a Being speak telepathically to me and say that the country of Jordan would exist no more. I did not hear the name of the new country"

    Facinating.....

The man nearly died and his last vision was on a crisis in the ME...., I would sue God if I was him.

    - - - Updated - - -

Why is it "warns Israel" ?

Seems to me the Palestinians have much more to lose if this process halts (as it should a few months ago).

Israel has been leeching your tax dollars in the tens of billions for decades. It sells your military secrets to your enemies, spies on you and publicly brags about what a pushover you are, and you want to defend this blood-sucking parasite?
You've been chummy with the Arab world for as long as there have been weapons deals to be made with them, and oil to be purchased from them. Is any of this news to you?

Israel continue to sabatoge peace talks. They did so this time by reneging on their promise to set free some of their Palestinian hostages, which is what was to bring them to the table. They did so the last time by announcing even further illegal land conquest in the very week the talks were to be.

I would be getting frustrated, too.

But this is in no way "sacrificing" Israel. USA give billions in free aid and weapons to Israel, and were it not for Israel being protected by US auspices in the UN, they would have long since been put in place for their war crimes by the rest of the world. Israel owe their existence to the USA in the first place.

    BINGO!!!

    Absolutely.

Israel will never stop conquering land until an agreement is reached, and they won't give back anything once it is. Therefore, the status quo (although not actually legitimate) works for Israel, hence why they always sabotage peace efforts. Which is why they don't want a treaty. Which is why we don't get one.

We will win either way, by peace or war that's true but avoiding peace is also a Palestinian expertise, the last list of demands from Abu - just so the peace talks would continue - included:

A signed declaratiom from Bibi that the entire East Jerusalem is Palestine capital - Im still laughting about that :)
The immidiate release of 1200 prosoners including terror leaders like Bargotti etc' - I think 400 were agreed upon and Israel decides who, I hope it will never happen.
15,000 Palestinian families to enter Israel and get Israeli citizenship part of family unification - why do they always unify in Israel??? why not unify them in Rammallh ?not going to happen I'm afriad...
The immidiate cease of Gaza naval blockade - yea, right...

That's just so we can return to the table :), in short what you are "selling" here about the poor misfurtunate Palestinians that just wait for a warm smile from the vicous Israelis - is an "Arabian nights" fairy tail....

Abu has a plan to go to the UN and sue Israel, he and his ppl want to score victories - not to achive a deal, so if you ask me both sides dont want peace.

This is demonstrably not true. When Egypt concluded peace with Israel Israel gave up the complete Sinai.
The problem is that the Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss a chance for peace. They have very poor leadership.

Israel has a cynical racist regime and yet, Israel is our best friend in the Middle East, we are Israel's puppet.

Israel happens to be the only stable and pluralist democracy in the Middle East.

Looking at alternatives in the Middle East, this may be true. Years ago, I talked with some Zionists in person. They boasted, telling me that Israel is like a little USA, tolerance, cultural diversity and even black Jews were in Israel. Interesting, if those black Jews are still there and how are they doing? I watched some TV programs run by American Evangelicals and so-called Messianic Jews. They were talking about Jewishness and even about DNA prove of Jewish blood in some individuals as a substantiation of their "superior" value as "God chosen people". And this is a work of that "pluralistic" society, is not this disgusting? Religion leads to jihad fighters, suicide bombers and this sort of ideology.

I propose that you ask the Arab Israeli's if they would like to go and live under the Palestinian authority or Hamas or under any of the boredering Arab regimes or if they prefer their Israeli citizenship and rights.

Arabs and Jews can cut throats each other, if they wish, but I do not want them to keep my country hostage. Israel lives on our taxpayer money and affords luxury of abusing human rights. Some of you worried very much about "international law", but you do not want to apply it in case with Israel. This is how much "international law" worth. When Israel will become squeezed by neighbors, you will be the first screaming about "international law".
