    What a tragedy.

The story says there were two young players and their parents, including Bryant.

I heard about this yesterday evening [Italian time]. I followed NBA and after Jordan, Kobe was the new phenomenon. His Lakers were incredible and he has given a lot to basketball.

    Simply legendary.

    As I Understand

If a helicopter doesn't lose its' blades

it may ? auto gyrate ?

to a hard but survivable landing.

What happened or how wrong am I?

The conditions for flying were so bad, local police grounded all of theirs. I wonder how much cash was laid out to get special permission. If the people in the know say it's dangerous, maybe take them seriously? I hope bribery wasn't involved.

    THE STORY KEEPS CHANGING.

Initial eyewitness on the news was saying he heard engine problem
and the helicopter came down. I responded with autogyration comment above.

Now they are saying pilot was disoriented and flew into the mountain.

    I DON'T THINK SO!
Maybe it has to do with the insurance and liability.

I'll wait for the official reports from the federal agencies investigating the cause of the crash. Not speculation from amateurs.
