This is kind of messed up.

This man was adopted from Korea when he was 3 years old by an American couple, who apparently never bothered to fill out the proper paperwork establishing his citizenship.

Later he got in trouble with the law, but finally started getting his life together and started a family. However, all these years the country's immigration laws were not being enforced. When they suddenly started being enforced he was deported back to Korea. This is a man who cannot speak Korean.

Partly the responsibility of the parents, partly of the american migration authority.
