It is very refreshing to see a major Hollywood actor who really "gets it!" Kurt sums it up so nicely! In the second part of the video I love how he schools reporter on the issue of Gun control. Great job Kurt!! You have my respect!
It only seems fitting for Kurt to be pro gun rights. I too loved the way he handled the interviewer in the second interview. It's welcoming to see someone from Hollywood take such a stance. But I mean it is Kurt Russel after all. The man was freakin Wyatt Earp. He's the sole reason I have a pair of old Colt Dragoons in my possession LOL.
Uncle Ferd wantin' to know... ... if he's still married to Goldie Hawn... ... or if she's 'available' again?
They never married. And he is well into his twilight years as an actor. His demand is low and it wont be hurt if he takes a stand. Now, what has his stand say in 1994?
Can you explain what it is your question is supposed to mean or relate to? Sorry but it went over my head.
What actor has ever been hurt by being pro gun ? Tom Selleck was always pro gun, so was John Wayne, and John Wayne was smart, he had catering companies on movie sets, a great business. He also produced and directed many films.... Charlton Heston was always pro gun. There are others. Oh yeah, My personal friend, Steven Seagal, staunchly pro gun. Chuck Norris, Clint Eastwood... The Anti Gun actors have taken that stand as a personal issue, not to further a motion picture career,
You list proves my point. Selleck has been hampered by being a all around conservative in his career. Steven Segal? Oh, please. All his movies combined grossed what? 1 million? Norris, when was his last head lining role? Charlton Heston was not "always" conservative. And John Wayne, may have been pro gun. But that was in the day before there was an anti gun movement.
What was his opinion when he was doing the "Escape From" movies. Or any other time when he was "in demand"?
OK...but how is that even relevant? ....and I disagree with you that he is in his twilight as an actor. This particular issue occurred because a reporter was interviewing him about a major motion picture he's starring in! ...So no! ... he still has movie appeal quality about him. I think (just my own take) it bothers you that someone with his movie stature/resume makes such a bold stance on this particular issue. Thank Goodness that sometime one/some of our favorite actors can relate to us "normal/regular" people. That's why Kurt has my respect. He actually gets it!! ...and (as he said) he's not living in some kind of a "Fantasy world." That is why it's nice to see a Movie star who is still grounded in reality!! ....and as Nightmare said...He's freakin WYATT EARP!!!
Try Keanu Reeves....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzK6kGwo70M
Bothers me none. But I like consistency. He may be consistent. But I take anything out of Hollywood with a grain of salt.
