L.A. COUNTY SHERIFF SHOOTS SELF IN LEG

A sheriff deputy in Los Angeles County was serving a search warrant in South El Monte on Thursday morning when he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

At 5 a.m., a few deputies from the narcotics bureau had to serve a warrant in the 11200 block of Broadmead Street in South El Monte.
After they entered the house, the deputy’s gun accidentally discharged, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives responded to the scene to investigate the shooting where a deputy was injured when they discovered that he unintentionally fired his own weapon and injured his lower leg, a press release said.

The shot grazed his leg and he was transported to a local hospital with non–life threatening injuries.
No one else was injured and the cause of the accidental shot is still unknown at this time, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office.

Accidents happen. Accidental firearm discharge is not all that rare. No big deal.

Well, that's too bad. However, with police agencies being forced to lower standards to hire less fit, less coordinated, less intelligent officers, I'm not surprised.

Anyone carrying a gun should do regular dry fire practice with it, having no ammo near it. Drawing a handgun during stressful situations will lead to injuries or death, unless the user as been able to practice with proper technique.

Anti-Gun Sheriff Mike Johnstone Negligently Shoots Himself
And there you have it. Meet Anti-gun Sheriff Mike Johnstone in Des Moines County, Iowa. This is the sheriff that’s known for pushing the anti-gun lie that “shall issue” concealed carry will lead to “wild-west” shootouts. Mike Johnstone didn’t clear his firearm properly while he was cleaning it at his home. The firearm went off and shot him in the hand.
