What you'd expect from these people, I suppose:
    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...y-criticises-lack-of-cooperation-from-vatican
    Quote:
The Vatican’s repeated refusal to cooperate with official investigations into paedophile priests and its delay in stripping convicted offenders of their clerical status has been condemned by the UK’s child sexual abuse inquiry.

In a highly critical attack on the papacy’s stonewalling response to decades of complaints, the lead counsel to the inquiry, Brian Altman QC, said it was “very disappointing” that significant evidence and statements had been withheld.

    and also:

An earlier report by the Catholic Safeguarding Advisory Service (CSAS) and the National Catholic Safeguarding Commission found that between 1970 to 2015, there were 931 separate complaints of child sexual abuse were made to the Catholic church in England and Wales. They involved more than 3,000 instances of alleged abuse.

    Just plain disgusting.

It may be even worse than that. It looks like a few of them may have been framed.
Because they were trying to uncover abuse.

    https://denvercatholic.org/cardinal-pell-our-dreyfus-case/

The cardinal’s first trial last fall ended in a hung jury that voted 10-2 for acquittal (the jury foreman wept on reporting the deadlock). The second trial, amazingly, ended with a 12-0 verdict for conviction: even though the accuser’s charges were never corroborated by anyone; even though police incompetence in investigating the alleged scene of the crime was fully demonstrated; and even though the cardinal’s defense showed that 10 implausible things would have had to occur simultaneously, within a carefully controlled space of Melbourne’s St. Mary’s Cathedral, for the charges to be true.

Would you risk decades in prison and dragging your good reputation through the muck to do the right thing?

We know that Pope Benedict resigned, perhaps partly out of disgust. He just through his hands up in the air and knew the task in front of him was too big a one for an old guy like him to handle.

If people don't have sense enough to kick the church to the curb then the child sexual abuse will continue because they are pimping off their kids to the priests.

Every diocese and archdiocese in the USA should be investigated under the RICO act. Because some of them are STILL trying to hide the dirty laundry and sheltering homopredators.
