How about the local law abiding citizens have fear being targeted by the criminals roaming the streets and burning and looting their property and physically attacking them?

This is Los Angeles where people believe that the police should be the only ones with the power to defend themselves. Now that they have disarmed good citizens, they will be reducing the size of the police dept. Its a great place to live if you are a cop or a criminal. Not so good for ordinary citizens.

Less lethal, not non-lethal. And also capable of resulting in permanent disability and disfigurement. Why didn't you answer the question?

Why do you expect potentially lethal force or losing an eye when protesting?

"Officers could now stand up against violent rioters throwing dangerous projectiles without having to resort to lethal methods to quickly disperse the danger. Coupled with the introduction of effective non-lethal chemical agents such as tear gas and offensive odor canisters, and non-lethal impact rounds such as rubber bullets and "bean bag" flexible baton rounds, riot tactics were modified to rely less on violent response to attacking rioters than on a return to the slowly advancing wall, with supporting officers firing non-lethal ordnance into the crowd to discourage advance."

NON-LETHAL crowd control. Waiting for you to prove he was purposely target and fired upon.

Rubber bullets are less-lethal, not non-lethal, and if you can't specifically target or aim a potentially lethal device against a specific threat then you shouldn't be using it. Also, I understand this is a pattern with you, but I never claimed he was specifically targeted. I specifically pointed out that it would be bad even if he were not specifically targeted, which you have still failed to address

More fake news...Trump never wanted 10K regular military in the streets.

    https://www.politico.com/news/2020/06/07/barr-trump-active-duty-troops-305649

"The president never asked or suggested that we needed to deploy regular troops at that point," Barr said in an interview with CBS' "Face the Nation” on Sunday. "It's been done from time to time in our history. We try to avoid it, and I'm happy that we were able to avoid it on this occasion."

I think our position was common, which was that they should only be deployed as a last resort and that we didn't think we would need them," Barr said. "I think everyone was on the same page."

"and non-lethal impact rounds such as rubber bullets and "bean bag" flexible baton rounds,". "Bad" as in what bad? That his injury would be the same, yes so what?

And yes you did make the claim in your statement here

That statement is premised on a aimed shot.

Again, objectively, rubber bullets are not "non-lethal." They are less-lethal. And why did you say that I "did make the claim in [my] statement here" and then go on to quote someone else entirely?

America's Snuff Video of a Day

"Just Do it for the Homeland!"

(brought to you by Snuff Videos ™)

“…when a sixth of the population of a nation which has undertaken to be the refuge of liberty are slaves, and a whole country is unjustly overrun and conquered by a foreign army, and subjected to military law, I think that it is not too soon for honest men to rebel and revolutionize. What makes this duty the more urgent is the fact, that the country so overrun is not our own, but ours is the invading army”
--Resistance to Civil Government by Henry David Thoreau, (1849), p. 7 (pdf).

American law enforcement still publishing snuff videos. This snuff scene of the day is of Mr. Javier Ambler who was tortured, and electrocuted until dead by Williamson County Deputy J.J. Johnson of Texas because Javier did not dim his headlights for other drivers thus disrupting the common law and order.

George Orwell is one of my favorite authors. Orwell was an anti-fascist two years before America began destroying fascist forces in Europe.

I think that Werner Herzog's film Stroszek (1977) is an insightful look at American society with the dancing chicken. Americans are dancing chickens whenever commanded: the go back to work dance, the debt peonage dance for getting an education, the war dance, the get beat up by the police and their ideological friends dance, the religion dance, the money dance.... and the fascist dance. And when all the dancing is done, the police re-possess your trailer.

In America, key scenes have been edited out because most Americans are not mature rational adults and should not view the film.

It sounds like you hate America and all the freedom it bestows upon its people. What type of society would you point to that achieves your utopian ideals?

    Lol @ fascist right wing.

Dude. All of these are and have been for decades under democrat control.

    Take your partisan blinders off.

How you arrive at Republicans being to blame is a tremendous amount of mental cart wheels.

If they are, they are irrational or are doing something that warrants fear and repercussions

California in general, and LA in particular, is under the rule of leftists. None of the mess they've created has been brought to us / them by "right-wing" anything.

And why are that man's pants down? Was he continuing the California tradition of crapping on the street?
