No one remembers anything that Tulsi said. Kamala is to the left of Biden, but not dramatically so. There is zero chance that the left is going to vote for someone else.
I remember 2 quotes from Tulsi on Dec. 18 2019, "Present". And then a few minutes later here's another quote. "Present" Harris will serve as a useful buffer on the 'defund Police' and any accusations that this administration will either be soft on crime, soft on white collar crime, or soft on cops who commit crime. She is also on record as opposed to capital punishment, opposed to trying juveniles in adult courts. Its a suitably nuanced record you'd expect from a former DA, and AG who did their job well. I think she is well vetted and pretty solid but nobody is going to like everything in there . The problem with it, is that it is a suitably nuanced record. She will have taken positions in court consistent with her then job and title, that will not make nice 30 second ads or reflect her personal or policy views. You may remember efforts to paint Hillary based on her work as legal counsel of an accused rapist in the 70's which somehow became evidence of callousness towards the crime of rape.
She won't be a "useful buffer" on the defund police issue-remember dems all said he didn't want to defund the police (despite saying he would take their funding and place it elsewhere lol). Kamala's campaign dropped like a rock BECAUSE her "tough on crime" past specifically meant she imprisoned a lot of minorities, breaking up families over things like marijuana. Its not unlike Bidens crime bill, which imprisoned a lot of minorities, back in the 90's. HE WROTE the bill lol.
So lets look at your definition of 'defunding' It now refers to a cut in revenue or their budget. Now lets see where what Trump wants to 'defund' by that criteria. He says he wants to 'defer' payroll taxes, and then when he is re-elected he will 'forgive' them. Donald Trump proposes to defund Social Security and Medicare! Now either revise your definition, or live with the truth.
Joe Biden wishes to reduce funding to law enforcement, despite his claims. Maybe he feels that by appointing a person who put blacks in jail, and destroyed families, much like the crime bill he wrote and passed into law will somehow not piss off minorities but also make him appear as tough on crime. Its a real bold strategy, lets see if it pays off.
Well, Susan rice is being investigated by the DOJ so I understand not picking her. It’s hard to take serious a party who makes race and gender the top requirements. Is it virtue signaling or overcompensation for past performance?
