The GOP has permanently alienated American workers with their broken promises of bringing back manufacturing jobs, instead of created some fewer lower-paying manufacturing job. The GOP lied about saving the coal industry. The GOP has struck terror into the family farms.

The President and the GOP should be light years ahead of the Dems because of the economy, yet even Fox shows the party of the people is the Democratic Party.

Ah, the old attack the polls dodge. Funny how the great unwashed always believe polls that support their positions and attack polls and poll methodology that doesn’t. Not of course that they have any actual knowledge of how polls are conducted.

Ah, the old right wing dodge.

"According to research from social psychologists at Northwestern University, stories can increase the persuasiveness of weak facts, but actually decrease the persuasiveness of strong facts."

Not to worry, America, the opponents of Trump are ferreting out the truth and real facts about Trump's falsehoods.

I question them even more when I agree. Do you answer unidentified calls and have time for 46 survey questions?

I will respond to responsible pollsters if I have the time. Do you waste your time watching sports or television? And yes I do answer unidentified calls since several of my friends have unlisted phone numbers.

No, I do not watch sports and spend less than an hour watching TV per week. Your friends would be in your contact list and even if their number was unlisted, you would know who was calling. You admit that you only respond to "responsible pollsters" which means that your opinion of the pollster comes before your opinion on the issues.

Sometimes the opinions of 1000 people who do have time on their hands is an accurate representation of Americans and sometimes its not. I always look at the wording of the questions.

How can you look at the wording of questions when you claim to not do polls?

No reasonable person would think that poll results and methodology could not be questioned by those who do not participate. Do you bring your own lunch to school or do you ride the bus?

Of course such people can be questioned.

But I really think that I would not here from people who don't vote but want to give their opinion.

So let me get this straight. You don’t take polls. You don’t believe the results but you have spent the time in a detailed study of poll methodology and the statistics used to interpret the results.

It took you a while, but you got it. While I don't have time for surveys (Or any unsolicited calls) I do look into the poll before discussing it on the forum. It takes less than a minute. Here's a snip from the one in this thread:

    "Questions 1-2, 12-13, 16, 24-46 are for release after 6:00 PM/ET Wednesday, August 14, 2019.
Questions 3-11, 14-15 and 17-23 are held for future release.
    Methodology
Interviews were conducted August 11-13, 2019 among a random national sample of 1,013registered voters (RV). Landline (222) and cellphone (791) telephone numbers were randomly selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, whichmeans phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state"

The claim is that 1013 people who answer unidentified calls and have time for 46 questions, represent the USA . I don't buy it.

6.5% of Americans still have a landline while 21.9% of these results were from people with landlines.

Well maybe learn statistics and then learn about confidence levels.

I just pointed out a statistic you couldn't refute and you replied with a cheap shot. Good stuff!
