She put down on record something that is patently untrue. If she didn't know she should have checked first, not to do that is simply ignorant and sloppy. We don't need any more of those in Congress.

To get any benefit from Indian heritage or ancestry, you have to submit your information to the Indian Tribal research councils..

Look it up..... You can find it on the net.

Apparently her family didn't like "those" Cherokees. Indians didn't like each other that much and may have killed more Indians than we did.

Why don't you read up on the Cherokee Nation, Gold, Georgia, Andrew Jackson and the Great Removal and the US Supreme Court ruling before you jump in.

    Yes she apparently did.

She is listed as a minority in the report. I think it's safe to assume "self-identified" means she identified herself as a minority.

    I did read the article.
It does nothing to refute Harvard and Penn. This entire rutgers/texas angle is a deflection, as they were never brought into question.
She is being taken to task for the schools where she DID get listed as a minority...such as Harvard...not Rutgers...not Texas. Grats, you disproved a point noone was trying to make, while ignoring the valid complaint.

At the top of the page it even lists Minorites shown in bold, and she is bolded.

Right after her name it says "resigned"..

Isn't there any document that SHE actually signed claiming minority status?

    Just stop it Margot.

You dont simply get put into a Minority position without knowing, or seeking it. Back in the day Harvard stood up and championed this, and she never took the chance to correct them.

Heres a little more interesting info.

Really.....hmmm. So proud of the heritage, but not interested enough to document and isn't enrolled in a Tribe.

And heres where she answers the question you had asked about if SHE had ever listed herself as a Minority.

    http://www.boston.com/politicalinte...rity-status/0frnjL8PwVQe2dmUAJC3vM/story.html

She admits that she listed herself this way in that quote, and tries to make it sound harmless by saying her motive was to "connect with people like me".

Thats her admission that you asked for earlier.

Page 16 at the bottom left. The bold italics denoted self identified minority.

    Same page 16.

Do conservatives ever get tired of going into these victimhood tantrums? You know, the whole "Those horrible liberals are all affirmative action babies taking the jobs that rightfully belong to white men!" thing. After all, there's zero evidence Warren ever benefited or used affirmative action.

Oh, wait. It's conservative manchildren facing a strong, intelligent woman, one who makes a business of pointing out ethical wrongdoing. She's both a threat to their manhood and to their their mooching lifestyle. No wonder they get so unhinged about her.

Well Magot, I have great regret that the Cherokee people were so unjustly treated. They may have been the most intellectual of all of the Indians in the USA. What really pissed our leaders off was that they wrote their own Constitution and dared to establish themselves as a Constitutional Nation.

How could we let that happen? The gold was good reason for some people who didn't know what our Constitution says. We killed the Indians out of the Black Hills over gold too but without that gold the USA may have gone bankrupt. It was the easiest gold ever to get and the Indians didn't seem to want it. We offered Sitting Bull seven years of support for the Indians if we could have the gold but the interpreter mistook Sitting Bull's response that he would agree to ten years and told the government that he wanted ten time seven, so there was nothing left to do but kill them all.

Had the Cherokee asked to become a state they may have been allowed to stay but Andy didn't like Indians and he really didn't like smart Indians.

They WERE a state.. that's why the US Supreme Court ruled against the Removal..

The Indians had fought alongside Jackson a decade earlier.

So why is Jackson so disliked by the Cherokee? Oddly enough, at one point the Cherokee were allies with Andrew Jackson. It was at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend where Andrew Jackson's famous story really began. He was considered a hero after his victory in this battle against the Creek Indians, a victory he would not have attained had it not been for his Cherokee allies who fought alongside him.

    LOL...sure Zero Evidence.

    http://www.boston.com/politicalinte...rity-status/0frnjL8PwVQe2dmUAJC3vM/story.html

Everyone turns up on Minority listings from time to time, and Affirmative Action and it's policies are a right wing myth.

A strong, intelligent woman wouldn't have ended up here in the first place, and if by chance she did...she would have put the fire out already. The only thing she is a threat to is another hoped for Democrat seat.

Which is worthless when you need 1/16th as a minimum to be considered Indian, as someone already posted in this thread....but you already knew that. Just keep spinning those desperate wheels while reminding us that you arent defending Warren. Heck open up yet another thread about her while you're busy "not defending" her.

Yes.. I am aware of that.. You can't claim any benefits if you 1/32nd.. but you are still 1/32...
