I agree but that may never happen unless what I advocate in this new O.P. that I am working on comes to pass.

Please have a look and opine as to the viability of people buying what I suggest, which I think matches what you two are talking of.

    ---------

Can Truth in guidance only be ours, if our future political masters are demographers?

What is primary to good governance is the statistical information governments base their decisions on. Only with this statistical base can the world know what is thought to be the real truth of the things we track.

The world needs new leadership in the image of Hans Rosling, may he rest in peace. I invite you to listen to a few minutes of this good man’s presentation and imagine what such a man, representing us, would do if he could manipulate, --- for the world’s benefit, --- the various bubbles he works with. Now try to imagine what you would do. Wow! Right? The things we could collectively do.

Of course, in a free world, the bubbles, --- us that is, --- would have to voluntarily move, --- but if we collectively know the outcome we are moving to, and see the benefits for our collective, and collectively cooperated, allowing ourselves to be openly manipulated, --- instead of the covert manipulation our present oligarch masters enjoy, --- I think it would make for a freer and more prosperous world. It would certainly end corruption and for that reasons, I do not expect politicians to propose such a system soon.

We are at the point in time where we can, (basically), rather easily control most important aspects of life; should we choose to do so. I think we should make it so as the world is moving closer to globalization and I do not think we can stop doing what we obviously must do for global survival.

This would entail the world’s countries giving more meaning to their U.N. membership. This would lead to a head demographer who, if as good a man as Hans Rosling is, would then speed up our collective passage to civilization and world economic peace.

I suggest that the world would be well served if it would nominate demographer to lead us so that we can get this show on the road.

Everyone wants a voice in their future. Without demographic control, you can never have that. For all of us to be heard, --- and thus be relevant to the whole, --- we must all be in the same socio economic demographic pyramid. I think people will all be in the same tribe in the future because of globalization of economics which will force us into participating in a one world socio economic demographic pyramid.

Demographers, or those who rely heavily on them and their data, must rule in the future if we are to seek the truth of our reality and be relevant to the world.

    Do you agree?

    Regards
    DL

No argument and I agree that we should start thinking of the earth as space ship earth.

The problem is that we have so many Captains, that they are working against each other because they are playing politics for local consumption instead of for the greater good of all.

Unification and a one wold government is required if spaceship Earth is to stop fouling it's nest and begin climbing out of our self-created filth. We can afford the population but need to collectively clean up our act.

Sure, I would have it no other way.
But then we waste it by pumping it into the sea instead of doing the right thing and creating arable land to replace what we are losing.

True, and our cities could use that good soil to put gardens on our flat roofs and add use the sunlight instead of having black tar roofs that add to global warming.

Unification and a one world government leaves no escape from tyranny.

It goes much farther than that. Consider the massive amount of leaf waste, lawn waste, and easily composted materials that are dumped in landfills every year. This material is gardeners and farmers gold.

Reversing rising temperatures will kill off the manatee and who knows what other species as well and most of the species threatened have no utility to man whatsoever. The reasons these species exist is because of adaptation. Anything killed of will be replaced by something else that will thrive. The reason we exist today is because the big freaking flying lizards were killed off.

If we gave them a suitable eco system, sure, but the potable water crisis we are creating will foul up our environment enough to put even man in jeopardy.

Global warming is better for humans so unless you are a penguin, your children will be fine.

If we were talking about GW I would mention the increase in storms and flooding but as this is a pollution thread I'll ignore your trolling.

I tend to harp on the same subject but it should be a priority. In order to improve our water supplies and ensure our future is to improve our soils. Good soil filters water, holds water, and can be a very good carbon sink. Although I am not completely against commercial fertilizers one must understand that they must be contained on farm. 80 to 90% of fertilizers are wasted. They can only be utilised by crops when they are within 1\10 of an inch of the target plants roots. Tilling is also a major problem. Tilling releases bacteria called R stratagists. This bacteria consumes soil organic matter at an astounding rate. It is better to leave soil covered at all times. Without our soils we all die...global warming or no global warming.

You can make like Freelee the Banana Girl if you want. Me, I live far away from the sea. In fact, being in the country, it all ends up in a septic tank, end of story.

One huge problem with using human waste as fertilizers; we're a drugged up species.

Birth control pills, hormone treatments, psychiatric medicines, all kinds of drugs, that really shouldn't be mixed up with food.

Sadly, the ocean is the best place for it.

Most pharmaceuticals degrade to acceptable levels when composted. The stuff that goes through waste treatment plants is practically unscathed. Hot composting has many benefits. The ocean is not very close to where I live. And the Gulf has a large dead zone already because of nitrates in the water.

Sadly, you are mistaken, as you follow the mindset that has us ignoring things like the Pacific vortex that kills thousands if not millions of animals because they consume some of the huge plastic dump we have created.

That plastic ends in us as well as the chemicals, good and evil, that do not break up in our waters.
