But you live in New York, right? The resistance to Trump is bi-coastal with lots of court/ prosecutor focus from southern district of NY.

As opposed to majority democrats whom are inner city uneducated minorities with a "me, me, me" attitude or those who cater to their peasants for power?

    Yay! Generalizations are fun!

So....you don't know the difference between research and opinion. Got it. Oh yeah, now I remember, you think scientific research on climate change is opinion too.

It's not a generalization to say the GOP is increasingly older white people, especially men. Check the research on the demographics.

You apparently don't know much about science either. Yes, science is about opinion, then testing that opinion to see if it is true.

Not surprised you can't reason laterally from the easy to understand logical fallacy I referenced, "glittering generalities." And yes it does most certainly fit, needn't always be positive generalizations that omit context or are hopelessly abstract.

Since you are not getting it in adult terms, let's get out the crayons.

If you are going to falsely, negatively and repetitively characterize your political opposition as ignorant fundamentalist hillbillies, best make sure they don't make a whole lot more money and pay a whole lot more taxes than your side does, else your side ends up looking inferior to a bunch of ignorant, fundamentalist hillbillies (and it is).

Or better yet, why not focus on policy for a change instead of the inaccurate, fallacious labeling you and yours constantly engage in?

I am just going to start editing out personal insults as that’s all many of you have to throw around...

I have never said “my political opposition” are ignorant fundamentalist hillbillies — one, I am a hillbilly as a resident of Appalachia, many would consider me a redneck for my southern accent, second, ignorance is prevalent on both sides of the political spectrum — but the people that cannot bear the fact that their ideology is at least partially compromised of the aforementioned groups is at best ignorant but most likely upset that they share political leanings with those groups (which says a ton about your own feelings of those supporters).

By “my side” I will assume you mean Democrats — a majority of the richest people in America lean left and overall income brackets are pretty evenly distributed so I am not sure where you are getting “your side” makes a “whole lot more money and pays a whole lot more taxes”. Futhermore blue states represent a significantly higher percentage of federal receipts while red states receive more (ie welfare states). I am happy to post sources and charts explaining as such that you can ignore.

You still have not posted a source for anything you have said, likely because it is a lie but you don’t have the integrity to admit it as such. Which is completely similar to previous interactions we have had. I’m sorry you don’t like statistical analysis done by numerous reputable polling firms but just because you don’t like it doesn’t not make it inaccurate or a logical fallacy.

This is exactly what the Democrat slave owners said before they fired their cannon on Fort Sumter.

Any negative characterization of any contemporary U.S. politician's "base," doesn't matter what politician or what segment of electorate makes up the "base," that includes qualities such as race, education level, gender, etc., but excludes the very important necessary context of income within that group, is a lie narrative seeking to deceive.

I don't care whether you accept that or not, you aren't one of the posters here I have any interest at all in persuading. Those whom I do have an interest in persuading or reaching can certainly decide for themselves whether the above is accurate or BS.

    No — it isn’t.

If someone is looking at numerous exit polls and not noticing a trend they are already on “your side”. If you believe just calling others sources lies without sources of your own is going to persuade anyone of anything you are delusional.

I live in ther burbs now. Surrounded by conservatives.

My time in the city, living among the "intellectually superior " liberals was an eye opening event in book smarts completely lacking common sense.

What you aren't realizing, is that as people get older, put in their time, gain wealth, they get more conservative.

So that demographic you think is phasing out is constantly replenished. Just like liberals are replenished by wide eye, idealistic, young progressives.

The point I was making is the demographics within the GOP is less and less diverse.

The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.

That describes today's GOP, and it is being led by a fool. Take for example the comments Trump made today. He's lost.

As usual Trump has difficulty communicating with others. That is particularly true of his comments today concerning the bipartisan agreement to avert another shutdown. For one thing, his excessive use of pronouns is confusing.

For example, he said, “Am I happy at first glance? The answer is no, I’m not, I’m not happy,” Trump told reporters around midday at the White House, as he met with Cabinet members. “It’s not going to do the trick, but I’m adding things to it, and when you add whatever I have to add, it’s all going to happen where we’re going to build a beautiful, big, strong wall.”

"It" must refer to the agreement. It seems he is unaware that Presidents can't add anything to a bill. It's either yea or nay. Perhaps he suddenly changed the subject without telling anyone, and he was referring to additional steps he might take after an agreement has been reached.

Like I said, it is a failure to communicate.

Then he said, “Regardless of Wall money, it is being built as we speak!” Well, no it is not. No additional barriers are being built, although there are repairs to fencing and various kinds of barriers. The agreement allows for 55 miles of new barriers.

“I don’t think you’re going to see a shutdown. I wouldn’t want to see a shutdown. If you did have it, it’s the Democrats’ fault,” Trump said.

Trump doesn't know that this is a bipartisan agreement. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told reporters that he hopes to have the President’s support, because “he’s got a pretty good deal here.” Even Mark Meadows of the Freedom Caucus gave his support. “I think he will sign it, I think the president will sign it.”

If Trump doesn't sign it, then he is responsible for the shutdown, not the Democrats.

Trump seems very confused about all this.

Then, of course, there is Trump's upcoming summit with Kim Jong-Un.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - North Korea has continued to produce bomb fuel while in denuclearization talks with the United States and may have produced enough in the past year to add as many as seven nuclear weapons to its arsenal, according to a study released just weeks before a planned second summit between the North Korean leader and U.S. President Donald Trump, the report by Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation found.

"He said spent fuel generated from operation of the 5 megawatt reactor at its main nuclear plant at Yongbyon from 2016-18 appeared to have been reprocessed starting in May and would have produced an estimated 5-8 kg of weapons-grade plutonium.

"This combined with production of perhaps 150 kg of highly enriched uranium may have allowed North Korea to increase the number of weapons in its arsenal by between five and seven, the Stanford report said."

So went the results of Trump's first summit with Kim. There is no reason to believe that Trump will fare any better this month. No progress has been made toward denuclearization. There are no agreements to sign. Matters are only getting worse.

But, Trump will be able to change the subject. He has lost with his demands for a wall. He has lost support from his own party. The Mueller report will be out soon. The House is opening several investigations, including a look into the Trump family financial records.

Are you saying that evangelicals are mostly Democrats? Gee, I don't think so. They are an integral part of the GOP.

Those poor dead victims were not Evangelicals. They were a bunch of people, without foundational principles to guide them. They were suckered into believing in a shiny object scam that they were fed. More like leftists.
