Letter I got from Move On

I just got this e letter. It's a fundraiser but I removed those parts. I find it interesting and one more good reason Trump MUST be convicted of Insurrection by 2024

A group of Trump-backed QAnon candidates in key battleground states have launched a new effort to "control the election system."1

The candidates, all of whom promote Trump's Big Lie of a stolen election, are running for secretary of state—the office that counts the votes and certifies election results—including in Arizona and Georgia, critical states that likely will determine the winner of the 2024 presidential election.

The new group was announced at a QAnon conference and is reportedly being bankrolled by Mike Lindell, who's a close Trump confidant and former CEO of My Pillow, and multimillionaire Patrick Byrne, who pushed Trump to declare martial law in his last days in office in order to stay in power.2

Their goal is simple: to elect far-right QAnon candidates to offices overseeing elections so that they can help execute Trump's plot to rig the elections in 2024 and install him in the White House for a second term.

Trump's plot to take over our elections is unfolding in plain sight.

At a rally earlier this year in Arizona, Trump said, "sometimes the vote counter is more important than the candidate."3

And at a QAnon conference, Jim Marchant, one of the candidates, publicly bragged that he and others were directly recruited to run by QAnon and that the QAnon candidates are coordinating "between the different states to get to the right outcome" in the 2024 presidential election.4

It would be utterly ruinous for our democracy if QAnon conspiracy theorists were elected into positions where they had the power to determine the results of elections.

Especially after January 6, we cannot underestimate the threat posed by radical right-wing extremists.

Let us tell you a little bit about just two of the candidates who Trump and QAnon are working overtime to elect.

In Arizona, Trump has endorsed an extremist named Mark Finchem, a Republican state lawmaker who attended the January 6 insurrection, continues to work to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Arizona, and is linked to the Oath Keepers, the white supremacist extremist group whose leaders were charged earlier this month with "seditious conspiracy" related to their involvement in the insurrection.5

And in Georgia, Trump has endorsed Jody Hice, a member of Congress who attempted to stop the certification of Georgia's election in 2020 and has supported the blatantly racist voter suppression laws being passed in the state.6

Our democracy is on a knife's edge, and secretaries of state who will count every vote and ensure free and fair elections may be the only thing standing between democracy and authoritarianism.

I'm sure the folks on your side are working on it. No need to browbeat the rest of us with it. We have already forgotten Trump.

He's not even part of our election system. Just like some of the people that beat the hell of out Capitol police officers didn't even vote. They just like stirring up trouble constantly.

Exactly. That's why they're the problem. They don't want free and fair elections. They want to break as many laws as possible and give the rest of us the finger. But, heaven forbid if their feelings are hurt because some people want to teach our *real* history in schools. <smdh>

    He's worthless and they are <censoring myself>.

Maybe you have forgotten about Trump. However, the vast majority of your fellow Trump voters have not. There is a reason the guy at the corner of my road still flies his Trump banner, which was up since mid 2020.

As to the OP: I am sure that Move-on.org exaggerates a bit, but there is no question that the Trump party is installing Trump loyalists and mini-Trumps at all levels of government. Heck, I believe around 60 people who were at the 1/6 protest are now holding political office. The Trump party is being radicalized in front of our eyes. Thanks, Fox News.

Sorry, I am not a Trump voter or even a republican. Most of the republicans I have spoken with don't want Trump to run. They think he is too easy to beat. If he runs, the only thing democrats have to do is run somebody that has never run for president. Easy win.

Gone are the days when we could laugh off such an effort as the futile act of unhinged morons which no chance of being elected. QAnon continues to make inroads inside the POT. Because Don doesn't care if you are a conspiracy believing nut as long as you check the box for him. After all, he's one too.

I have gotten to the point of finding humor in those who 'think' that anyone not supporting the Democrats are supporting Trump.

It might be beneficial in general if these assumptions were actually supported with something other than 'my neighbor down the road still flies a Trump banner', and actually paid attention to what the rest of the country was doing and saying.

You must not be a part of GOP voters (can't say the same for GOP congresscritters) 'cause a great majority of the GOP voters still back Trump.

It might be interesting if someone could show that Qanon actually exists. So far, no soap.

The party of Slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, Segregation, Internment of Asian Americans, Economic Bondage of Blacks, and the genocidal maniacs who funded the development of COVID as an insurance policy that was unleashed to tarnish the Administration of a Republican President claims to want free and fair elections:

    https://news.yahoo.com/dni-releases-cia-documents-hillary-204337457.html

Former CIA Director John Brennan briefed former President Obama on Hillary Clinton’s “plan” to tie the Trump campaign to Russia as a means of distracting the public from her private email server scandal before the 2016 election, according to newly declassified documents.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on Tuesday declassified Brennan’s handwritten notes along with a CIA memo showing that officials referred the alleged scheme to the FBI for potential investigation.

“Today, at the direction of President Trump, I declassified additional documents relevant to ongoing Congressional oversight and investigative activities,” Ratcliffe said in a statement.

Brennan’s notes, which were taken after he briefed Obama on the intelligence, cite “a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security service,” which was “alleged approved by Hillary Clinton.”

Congressweasels will back whatever will keep them in office. They no longer work for those who hired them.

I disagree. I've yet to see actual hard data that says people are backing Trump as a 'great majority'. There are some, no doubt, and there will likely always will be. Since both parties have managed to scrape the bottom of the barrel, I'm hoping that we can do better in 2024.

IMO, Trump has been the president closest to being conservative since Reagan.

Who Is Behind QAnon? Linguistic Detectives Find Fingerprints

“Open your eyes,” the online post began, claiming, “Many in our govt worship Satan.” That warning, published on a freewheeling online message board in October 2017, was the beginning of the movement now known as QAnon. Paul Furber was its first apostle.

The outlandish claim made perfect sense to Mr. Furber, a South African software developer and tech journalist long fascinated with American politics and conspiracy theories, he said in an interview. He still clung to “Pizzagate,” the debunked online lie that liberal Satanists were trafficking children from a Washington restaurant. He was also among the few who understood an obscure reference in the message to “Operation Mockingbird,” an alleged C.I.A. scheme to manipulate the news media.

As the stream of messages, most signed only “Q,” grew into a sprawling conspiracy theory, the mystery surrounding their authorship became a central fascination for its followers — who was the anonymous Q?

Now two teams of forensic linguists say their analysis of the Q texts shows that Mr. Furber, one of the first online commentators to call attention to the earliest messages, actually played the lead role in writing them.

I'm not sure I would classify Trump as 'conservative.' He had an agenda to ease restrictions to foster a pro-business environment, which would also benefit him. A lot of people would view that as 'conservative', but it wasn't in the true sense of the word.
