It's delicious seeing you guys so bamboozled by ordinary non-American life, that you think of it as extra-terrestrial time travel :D

No, I mean how do you learn it at school? There must be some history taught, surely?

Well that's good. We get world and nation history here (compulsory til senior high). It's not super detailed, but does cover the essential timelines of civilisations etc.

when I was in school we had one semester of world history 4 semesters of US history and one semester of Texas history. I took a couple history classes in college. But largely what I've learned is from self guided study.

In that case, how is it that you appear so unfamiliar with the wide variety of cultural attitudes to these things?

Before I was cast off on this forsaken planet of a remote system of an obscure galaxy,
I met many advanced alien civilizations,
Then I met civilizations like yours.
    No explanation is indeed possible.

    As suspected. You're somewhat oblivious.

It's a big world. No need to go extra-planetary.

    Back to square one.

    Rights ?
    No, issues,
Rights are a facet of issues given the ample sphere covered within.
