Not to my knowledge, as the BATFE does not act on the word of the NRA and is unlikely to do anything with it until directed to do so by the DoJ.

then why the focus on 'assault rifles'? Pistols are used in the VAST majority of gun crime against women, migrants, school shootings, all categories, really. If 'quantity' is the reasoning, 'assault rifles' are 'barking up the wrong tree.'

Because these weapons have been used in almost all recent school massacres and that is what this thread refers to?

Democrats think we don't need guns, while they have armed guards protecting them.

Pseudocons think we need as many people running around with guns as possible, while Trump rallies should be gun-free zones.

Interesting! Both sides only trust cops with guns!

No wonder gun control debates go in circles. Everyone's a hypocrite!

    I [fixed it] for you.

Mass shootings occur regularly in and around more impoverished schools. We dont hear about them because the gang violence most typically associated with 'mass shootings' isn't convenient to the gun control agenda. But it none-the-less represents the bulk of mass-shootings, even at schools, and is primarily committed with handguns (procured on the black market).

You're being misled by a biased media.

    http://www.slate.com/articles/news_...are_more_about_mass_shootings_than_inner.html

" “From 1980 to 2013, 262,000 black males were killed in America,” writes Jeffrey Goldberg for the Atlantic. In general, when we talk about gun homicide in the United States, we are largely talking about violence between poor black men." ....and we're also talking about pistols/handguns, not rifles.

Well it was more than that:

"The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations." https://home.nra.org/joint-statement

Does this mean that you are actually against background checks?

As should be everyone that understands the concept behind prior restraint.

But then if dangerous criminals purchased guns and went onto commit mass shootings, then this is okay and acceptable because it would've been wrong for them to have had to go through a background check?

more stupid questions from the left...

The man explained the unconstitutional concept of prior restraint, Why are you asking a stupid question after that?

Deal with reality, or ask stupid questions. That's a choice you had prior to asking a stupid question.

LOL. I am VERY far away from being on the left! Note how I was asking a question, NOT giving my opinion.
So would you rather scrap background checks leaving the possibility of dangerous people getting their hands on guns easily from gun stores?

It still remains that when you ask these "more gun control" liberals what law they are going to pass that criminals and nuts will obey, they go silent.

How are they different issues? Surely you can elaborate if you're of this belief.
