http://wildstar2018.com/ There is a man running for governor in California that is a Libertarian, that seems to have a plan. For the current popular culture he is also black, which should be a plus he's a hip hop artist. Anyone think he has a chance.
Libertarians would end programs and agencies that provide benefits to voters. That is a lost cause. Eliminating agencies and programs in favor of vested cash accounts would sell, but I doubt that Libertarians will ever offer that kind of reform.
I vote libertarian here in Kansas but in California there is no way in hell he will win. Their entire society is the antithesis of the libertarian ideal. Without the government giving them things and supporting them their whole society would collapse. To many depend on the state for their sustenance and at this point it is not even their fault. They are trapped in an endless cycle that is almost impossible to get out of. Kind of like the company towns that use to exist a hundred years ago. They entrap you into a endless cycle of just getting by that only the lucky can escape.
California actually records the largest number of libertarian votes in the nation, mostly because many areas do not field a Republican candidate.
Ironically the highest number of Libertarians reside in places like New York and California. Presumably it's a reaction to the situation they find themselves in. Too many laws and restrictions of freedom.
That's why I moved to Texas. I recalled a collection of Californian taxes(as my hometown is considering adding another .75% to our sales tax), and he couldn't believe anyone would actually live there.
