No Islamic country does that. Therefor you're wrong

The US is constantly invading countries and demanding a more favorable regime. Not just in the middle east. It's also poised to change a country like Venezuela into their favor. It's called neo-colonialism. Sure it aint colonialism... something the US supports that the Jews do. But it's still violent. People die and are oppressed.

We ain't putting down roots. We're just losing a lot of blood and treasure for no long term gain, and it's time to bring all the troops home to US soil.

Islam is bigger than mere countries.

It's unlikely the US is going to change it ways. Maybe when they slash their army in half.

Plus a lot of freelance Imams issuing Fatwas whenever their goofy religion is held up to the light.

Leftists will use the term derogatorily whenever it doesn't involve a wedding cake.

Sure. All you need do is look at a modern map of the middle east to see how aggressive Islamic expansion was. It certainly didn't get that way through friendly persuasion and intellectual discourse.

What fanatical Christians and Jews are you referring to?

From my point of view, Catholics and Jews are followers of their religion while far too many Muslims see themselves as soldiers of their religion. When was the last time you saw a Catholic or Jewish suicide bomber?

I would agree, yes. It's a similar effect to the boy who cried wolf.. and the thing is, there are some examples of Islamophobia in our culture, there are people who genuinely try to generalize and marginalize Muslims people based on their religion, but when we start pointing the finger and crying out Islamophobia in instances where there is none, we are creating doubt any time there is a real instance of Islamophobia

On the other hand, the term "Islamophobia" makes no sense.

It's probably not the best term to use since it implies fear, and bigotry isn't limited to being afraid of a particular group, people can be bigots for a variety of reasons. Also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with disagreeing with a religious doctrine, it is when people use that disagreement as a justification for marginalizing people that it becomes bigotry

London is governed by a Muslim. So it sounds that your remark is on par what some would say... downright Islamophobic.

You're idea to hide behind that there is no specific group of some Christian sect,... doesn't mean Christians and Jews are behind in what I posted in my previous post. You think some Muslims care that there is no specific group?

But there isn't a great deal of 'marginalizing' going on and every criticism of Islam, I can think of nothing positive, "Islamophobia" is the go to word. Even after Muslim terrorists kill hundreds of innocent people simply going to work or enjoying night out, among the first things mentioned is we can't have any 'Islamophobia' or not blame all Muslims.

We can't blame all Germans for Nazism or all Italians for Fascism or all Southerners for the KKK but, when there's a shared core belief system among so many, Islam has to accept much of the responsibility. You're obviously an intelligent and fair minded poster so can you think of anything positive to say about Islam?

I have no doubt whatsoever that Muslims engage in unrealistic conspiracy theories. None at all.

Well you're right.. Then again I have only this site and the MSM to draw my conclusion from.

You are more than welcome to prove my claim wrong!

and I don't think there is anything wrong with challenging a religion fundamentally. For example, when a family disowns their son or daughter who is gay, and they do so because of what their religious doctrine says about homosexuality, that is a fundamental part of a religion that should be challenged, and yes Muslims themselves should very much be a part rejecting such behavior. Likewise, when one uses their religion to justify violence/terrorism, that is something that should be rejected. I don't believe any of that would be Islamophobic, what I do I think would be Islamophobic would be when we deny them(Muslims) that opportunity, and instead brand them to a behavior or activity that they never engaged in or supported themselves.

I'm not concerned with trying to create a positive or negative image of Islam, but I also don't think we should deny Muslims the same opportunity as everyone else to be a decent person. Being a follower of Islam in itself doesn't make you a bad person, it is your personal actions and how you choose to use your faith that determines whether or not you are a good person.

There have been news reports that in some places, extreme muslims kill gay people. So, since Graham is apparently a gay person, it may be that he fears he may become a victim so he is pushing for a war against muslims. He wants other people to get them before they get him.
