The fact you demand credible facts to investigate the 2020 election yet you were enthusiastic about a Trump campaign investigation based on conspiracy theories, lies innuendo and gossip tends for me to believe you care more about Trump being removed as president than free and fair elections, at least.

There was actually more purported fraud in the 2016 election as Trump claimed nearly 5 million fraudulent votes were cast. No audits were done to verify, so we must assume there was massive cheating in the 2016 election.

First off, you probably would do well to express what you think, and leave it to others to express what they think instead of projecting what you think on them.
    No charge! lol
I am as concerned about voter fraud as much as any other election. If there is voter fraud, then it should be demonstrated and dealt with.
I have seen no valid presentation of voter fraud that would even come close to making a difference in any election, much less the 2020 election.
The candidates involved make no difference to me.
You are entitled to think what you want, but I did see a reason to investigate Trump's campaign and subsequent impeachment, mainly because Trump and many associates held suspicious meetings with Russian agents, then lied about it and tried to cover it up. Those are facts, not feelings.
The second impeachment was based on Trump's own words, spoken from his mouth, combined with his actions, which can also be verified.
If you like sticking your head in the sand so you can't see, more power to you, but don't expect anyone else to.

Trump's campaign investigation was based on the fact that people on his team were being contacted regarding Russians wanting to help the campaign. I said little to nothing about those investigations until the Trump Tower meeting was made public. After that, then I'm sorry, but anyone telling you that there was no reason to investigate was just outright lying to you. Read the ****ing emails. There was substance to that investigation. The "investigation" that you want is based on nothing more than lies and Facebook rumors.

Your post is misinformation. Your post is a whataboutism which doesn't address the freeness and fairness of Arizona and Florida pandemic rules elections let alone the 2020 election in general.

For crying out loud. I have experience at the Iowa precinct level verifying votes. It is also my Iowa precinct level experience that remote ballots, er, pandemic rules ballots are very difficult to verify since the verifying before ballot acceptance isn't done at a physical location (OR VERIFIED AT ALL BEFORE BALLOT ACCEPTANCE), at the precinct or state election office, for examples.

Relying on state (or precinct) election officials to verify a pandemic rules election like the 2020 is like relying on ICE to verify the number of illegals which have come into the US during the Biden Administration...Which is to say Florida and Arizona election officials, for examples, have no clue if their 2020 pandemic rules elections were free and fair and ICE has no clue how many illegals have entered the US during the Biden Administration.

Besides, state and precinct election officials have an incentive to declare their elections are free and fair so they will be re-elected come their next election and they have great incentive to be re-elected.

It seems apparent to me you have more incentive to remove Trump as president than demanding a free and fair election.

Why are you concerned with the Trump investigation which commenced over conspiracy theories, lies, innuendo and gossip yet you demand factual evidence to investigate the pandemic rules 2020 election??...There seems to be some hypocrisy here.

You certainly didn't scream about an investigation of the Trump campaign like you screamed about an investigation into the first-time-ever-occurring 2020 pandemic rules election. Why don't you try to explain that?:roflol:

The campaign investigation was justified. Even the GOP-lead Intelligence Committee admitted that Russia had tried to help Trump win, the campaign knew of this, and that they welcomed the help with open arms. Combine this with the fact that campaign members had (and hid) many, many meetings with Russians and with Russian intelligence assets, then yes, looking into that was warranted. And they treated Trump himself with kid gloves throughout that investigation.

After dozens of court cases, after hundreds of recounts, canvasses, audits, etc., there has been no evidence of massive voter fraud. None. The best you guys ever come up with are easily debunked rumors you found on social media that you could have debunked yourself in 5 minutes if you had bothered to look. So, no, I don't see any reason for a DOJ investigation. Trump's own DOJ agreed with me about that, by the way.

You are essentially asking me to explain why I support investigations into murders but not into the supposed alien autopsy at Area 51.

My thoughts on those subjects were not based on theories, lies, innuendo and gossip. I suppose I could post a number of links here to show you, but past experience has taught me that rarely does anyone actually read the data, so I've cut way down on spending the time finding providing the links.
Let me ask you this, do you think Trump Jr. had a meeting with Russian agents, lied about the meeting, and then Trump Sr. crafted a fake letter from Jr to cover their tracks? Those are some of the facts I employed to form my impression.
And you know I can prove those statements....
And I have no problem with investigating the 2020 election, but after 14+ months, not one shred of evidence has been produced to show widespread voter irregularities, and nothing that would come close to making a difference in the results. Why is that, if there is all this "evidence" out there?
Investigate the election to the end of the world, fine. My sense of logic tells me that there isn't much meat on that bone, and there have been lots of audits, investigations, etc. Even the perpetrators of many of the "cheating" accusations have since recanted and admitted there was nothing to it.

The NC case was actually 2018, but point still made...

Since this thread originally mentioned Nevada and I have nowhere else to post this story, I picked here..

This is the oddest combination of one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen from a politician, while also admitting in today's world, probably pretty smart...

    Read and laugh (and cry)

If the right actually found actual evidence of fraud in a state or precinct, my guess is they'd figure some way to avoid making it public, because it's so much more profitable to scream generically....

The Trump campaign investigation was based on conspiracy theories, lies, innuendo and gossip. How does that make the Trump campaign investigation legitimate??

Have you read the report by Mueller to the Senate that the Trump campaign didn't work with Russians to interfere in the 2016 election?

No, I didn't, and neither did you. I read this one: https://www.justice.gov/archives/sco/file/1373816/download
It's the actual report. It is enormous, it would take some time to read it all, but just to boil it down, if you so desire to: https://www.vox.com/world/2019/4/19/18507580/mueller-report-trump-russia-obstruction-summary
I does not exonerate Trump, but it does not formally accuse or charge Trump either. I would have liked a more definitive conclusion, but.....
Seems like Mueller basically left it to Congress to sort out, which they did with the impeachment.
Hope that helps. Reading is fundamental!

    What were the result?

Oh yea, Trump shut it down because he didn't like the results that were coming back i.e. most fraudulent votes were republican.
So election fraud in the 2016 election was never examined.

Good point, but the elections are constantly monitored and overseen.
There are automatic triggers for recounts and audits. So I wouldn't say that they were not examined, just not to the extent that they were for 2020, which, despite some of the claims on this message board and around Trump world, was probably one of the most scrutinized elections in history.

I didn't read the Mueller Report either.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/do...ongress-attorney-general-william-barr-n986611
While the linked article didn't say Trump wasn't guilty of obstruction of the investigation, the article did admit via Mueller testimony that the Trump campaign didn't work with Russians to interfere in the 2016 election. I draw the conclusion (since the same conclusion was drawn to facilitate the obstruction of the investigation of the 2020 election) that an investigation steeped in conspriacy theories, lies, innuendo and gossip shouldn't have started in the first place....In other words, IMO, it is alleged Trump tried to obstruct an illegitimate investigation into his campaign after he became president.

That's really a nice try, although you left out the key word from the NBC "admission".... ironically, the same word the right always seems to leave out of summarizing Mueller.

I'll give you one final try to identify that key word

    SNIP
Special counsel Robert Mueller found no proof that President Donald Trump criminally colluded with Russia
    ENDSNIP

Of course the Trump campaign worked with many/various Russians during the 2016 election.... it's been documented by Mueller and the US Senate to death...

The Trump campaign didn't work with Russians to interfere in the 2016 election...Period...According to Mueller.

Now, Mueller may have alleged Trump obstructed an investigation which was steeped in conspiracy theories, lies, innuendo and gossip and as far as I know this type of investigation based on conspiracy theories. lies, innuendo and gossip isn't legitimate (or so many say).
