Then why did you answer a post that didn't even address you? Maybe you aren't being honest and it bothers you more than you want to admit. Maybe jealous. Don't know and don't care.

You’re the one on a public forum bitching like a little girl.

Not bitching. Nothing to bitch about. Maybe that is what bothers you.

Ummm. People who apprentice with a plumber or A/C repair tech tend to wear uniforms and they'll make a better income than someone who was told they "had to" go to college, rack up a 6-figure debt, and end up with a useless, unmarketable degree in "Gender Studies" or some other liberal arts field.

So you are advocating that you and someone that makes 5 times your income pay the exact same dollar amount of income tax?

No. I think income taxes are unconstitutional.

Then why is it that the employee is being hired if his/her qualification is not really that sound?

You only invested it's not your own or else in your own terms very minuscule in proprietary rights, you cannot even decide how to manage the corporation and it's a very good guess.

A single individual with few or no employees can start a business and register it as a corporation...or start several corporations. Many mom-and-pop and small businesses are registered as corporations for tax advantages.

We'd just prefer not to have a Democrat make everyone's life even more expensive by taking a bigger chunk of the fruits of our labor. Not much ever seems to trickle back down to the people once you vote for the government to take more money. The bulk of the money from raising taxes stays in D.C. to expand the power of the bureaucracy.

Trump is creating jobs....opportunities to work more, earn more, pay off debt....live within your means.

SS and Medicare are not welfare payments. Those programs are a pay-it-forward proposition. What they take out of my check pays current SS and Medicare recipients. When I retire, the people who are working pay for my SS and Medicare. So....y'all better work hard and teach your children to work hard because they'll be paying for your generation when you retire.

    Hundreds of corporations?

Oh and by the way you just admitted you make well north of $100K...which we know from your previous posts about income taxes.

Not many Americans have that kind of "means" so save us the sanctimony

    ~ It's called diversified stocks. ( I think ? )
Anyone with a 401K / IRA or even a savings account is "invested" in the stock market. I believe this is what Bluesguy is referring to.

Haha. I just read the linked article. The main problem is that "Amy" lives in New York. If a U-Haul comes in during the year, she and hubbie should snatch it up and get out of there....like the rest of New York's intelligent middle class. All the U-Haul's are heading one-way...OUT of that state.

    What?

Owning a stock is not owning a corporation. $100K and that was the point

They are being hired to deliver labor for an agreed upon wage. Nowhere in that agreement is there any expectation of maintaining X standard of living.

If the labor market agrees that ones value is $40 an hour that is what is paid. If another person is warranted $8 an hour, that is what they get. The idea that hiring an employee somehow makes the employer responsible for their housing, eating etc. Is not how it works.

None of my employees earn less than $20 an hour plus benefits, because that is the market I work in, however, that pay is not determined by their expected standard of living but rather how much it would cost me to replace them.
