So this is old news but I've only just found out about it. One of the pieces of human waste who went on to carry out the London bridge attack was allowed into the UK after being stopped at Stansted airport after being flagged on the EU's Schengen Information System as a potential criminal, after being arrested in March 2016 as he tried to travel to Syria from Italy on a one-way ticket and told the police: 'I'm going to be a terrorist.'

Scotland Yard said that he wasn't "a police or MI5 subject of interest" and I'm just curious, if saying "I'm going to be a terrorist" doesn't make someone a subject of interest to the British intelligence community, what the hell DOES? Is the British intelligence community actually this incompetent? What hope does Britain have if this is the case?

Yeah, it goes on all the time in this madhouse called the United Kingdom. You won't believe this, but in the early days when these psychos started to go out to the region and join other psychos, our right-on government instructed our useless plod to stop them leaving by confiscating their passports [IMG] I mean how ****ing stupid was that?!, whereas if they had been allowed to go (and we willing taxpayers paid for a one-way ticket to help them on their way? lol ), there would have been a good chance they'd have been KIA, never to return to our fair towns and cities. Alright then don't believe me, but I assure you it's true. ;)

Well I assume that you mean they tried to leave to fight overseas, but they could either be citizens or non-citizens and I was curious which they were.

Yes, they were citizens of Lhasa. Where else would they be citizens of if they were Tibetans? ( FFS! :wall: )

With the rolling eyes emoji, you can't forgive me for thinking that you were being sarcastic?

Then you probably could've done without the rolling eyes emoji. I can't see what it achieved.

Now lets see if we can get a few posts in a row from Cerberus without an emoji! I would scarcely be able to believe it!

It doesn’t strike me as a uniquely British problem. There are lots of claims and speculation in the article (and it is the Mail) but even assuming it’s all true, all we know if that his details were on the system but we don’t know exactly what was on there or under which identity and those it apparently should have alerted officials when he entered the UK, we don’t know whether it did. Basically, the system clearly feel down somewhere (likely multiple places) but it isn’t clear where or why.

Hopefully the relevant people who do have access to those details will be able to improve where ever the system went wrong.

Right wing government has to let a few through, otherwise there will be no reason to remove our fundamental rights. A country in fear is so much easier to govern(to paraphrase Goring or whichever nazi said it).

Look at the US and 9/11.

Oh, its multi-sourced. I probably could've made my post more credible by using another source. Like the BBC! http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-40183147

Okay, I misunderstood you, apologies. So, you mean things like the right to free speech? Yes I can certainly see that that doesn't exist anymore in the UK.

The UN human rights chief has criticised Theresa May for comments made in the wake of recent terror attacks, accusing her of offering a “gift” to every despot who “shamelessly violates human rights under the pretext of fighting terrorism”.

The terrorist act has been used to allow surveillance on parents wishing to be in the correct catchment area for schools!
    I kid you not!

Dorset couple Tim Joyce and Jenny Paton were spied on by Poole Borough Council who suspected them of lying about their home address in order to get their daughter into an over-subscribed local school.

But you're not actually suggesting that the government deliberately allows terrorists into the country in order to remove fundamental rights. Are you?
