Many people look down on me. After all, I am a member of Lower Middle Class. I live an interesting and satisfactory life, but I have neither a career nor a job. People look down on me. Now, having seen the Documentary, I can also look down to some people as well! Many of people on this planet are losers even relative to me. I want to go on a rant on how lost these losers are. If you call me a loser, I can answer in kind. But the losers I have seen in a Documentary can not answer anyone. These losers have been banned from the Internet for many years. But I would not rant about them. Any disrespect I exhibit toward them is the disrespect those better off then me will exhibit toward me! I will defend the right to be treated as Human Beings. Anyone in the Lower Middle Class who wants to be treated as a Human Being must also defend the Underclass. S. has not been successful most of his life. He has been in and out of prison for drugs up to 2013. S. is not a good friend. In 2013, he and his friend were high on amphetamine and had an argument. Both had knives, but S. had better fighting skills. In 2014 he was convicted of murder. Given his good behavior he is likely to be released in 2025. S. has committed a very bad act for which he was sentenced to a long prison term. He must earn release by good behavior and genuine remorse. But he is still a Human Being! As such, he has Fundamental Human Rights! Irish Correctional Service recognizes these rights. All long term prisoners have a one-person cell, a flat-screen TV, and generally humane conditions. In most West European Nations, Canada, and Australia, long term prisoners have similar conditions. Deprivation of Liberty is punishment enough. There are 3,045 offenders incarcerated in Ireland including 428 incarcerated for homicide. Some people who watched the prison life documentary show righteous indignation toward Stephen and toward other offenders convicted of serious offenses. They want these offenders to be treated in the harshest way possible. One of the worst tortures is Supermax incarceration. About 80,000 people in USA are in solitary confinement. These people have been sin solitary for many years, sometimes over a decade. Every state has several SuperMax units. Pelican Bay Penitentiary in California is one of the most famous ones. I disagree with harsh laws, but that is not the point. Even if I agreed with them I would have never joined them. I know that those who attack the Underclass also attack Lower Middle Class. Those who argue that serious offenders should not be treated humanely also argue that "lazy" people do not deserve Welfare benefits. Those who argue that "lazy" people do not deserve Welfare benefits call some people with Mental Disability "lazy". To most of them, my condition of Moderate Depression and Moderate Autism is simple laziness. Before we point a finger at the Underclass, we must remember that many are ready to point fingers at a more numerous, though less disadvantaged Lower Middle Class. Most of us had bad luck. Some, like me, have moderate disability. Most people in the Underclass had much worse luck. Many have severe disabilities. Some suffered severe abuse. Almost all were abandoned by Society when they needed help. Most of them have been abandoned by their families. My life has been much better then the life of people in Underclass. I have always been supported by my Family of Origin. Of course I have never used illegal drugs. I can not judge those who had much harder life for becoming who they are. Likewise, I do not appreciate those who have no disability judging me.
"Looking Down" on others would make someone a "Loser" in my opinion.....not that I am looking down on that.
Basically, he is trying to tell us all he has a pathetic life and does not want people taking note of it. Unfortunately he does not understand that this complaint rant exposes him and does the complete opposite of what was hoped for....instead of acceptance he has created pity and degradation for himself. I am sure a formally trained psychologist could explain in more adequately.
He claims to be on the Autism spectrum and likely gets support from Government and Family. There is nothing wrong with any of that but the mini violin is quite annoying.
Be concerned if you wish but for myself I see no reason, and not just because he is a stranger on an internet forum. He does seem very concerned with the penal system in Ireland but, I dont know if it's because he lives there, is in prison or just has some strange jumpsuit fixation.
It helps me to stick with addiction to arguing online, rather then moving on to something like alcohol.
I agree 100%. Most people on this forum have Social Status higher then me. Most people in documentaries about prison have Social Status much lower then me.
I am saying that there are many people who have much lower Social Status then me. But even they have rights.
Everyone in this country has rights as guaranteed by our Constitution. However not all men are created equal and not all avail themselves of their rights.
Theoretically yes. In reality, Scandinavia, some West European nations and Canada have much more respect for Human Rights.
Of course there’s more respect for human rights in those countries. Those are all countries with predominantly only 1 race, especially the Scandinavian countries. Take Beverly Hills CA, Scottsdale AZ or the Hamptons on Long Island and you’ll find just as much if not more respect for human rights. Then take Baltimore, St Louis or New Orleans and you’ll find no respect for human rights much less respect for anything else.
You're right. Norway, Finland and Sweden are so diverse. There is no way racism exist in Scandinavia.
