Both wind and solar are a net loss in energy production compared to what goes into creating the devices to harness those energies. There is also more pollution to create solar panels than they save. Not really. Sorry, there aren't many one word answers in international adult land. At this juncture we don't know where this is going. Way too much to sort out and it will take a while. The relationships are constantly in flux and need to stabilize before anything substantive happens. As to your rather simplistic question, it depends on the ultimate outcome of "success" or "failure". Fail and we retain the status quo except there is no status quo. Succeed? Define success.
