NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, has returned its first imagery of the Apollo moon landing sites. The pictures show the Apollo missions' lunar module descent stages sitting on the moon's surface, as long shadows from a low sun angle make the modules' locations evident.

The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera, or LROC, was able to image five of the six Apollo sites, with the remaining Apollo 12 site expected to be photographed in the coming weeks.

The satellite reached lunar orbit June 23 and captured the Apollo sites between July 11 and 15. Though it had been expected that LRO would be able to resolve the remnants of the Apollo mission, these first images came before the spacecraft reached its final mapping orbit. Future LROC images from these sites will have two to three times greater resolution.

You seem to be implying the image is fake. In what way do you think is is fake?

At what point would anyone have a chance to fake them? Or are you accusing the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center of fraud? Are you saying the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter doesn't exist and it's images are all made on a computer?

 

Please explain how I confirmed this.

As OP I posted images from the LRO of the Apollo landing sites, showing they are well preserved and human beings walked on the moon.

Your first reply is "Pictures are fakable.". You would only claim this if the picture as is proves the moon landing, barring forgery. If the picture didn't confirm the moon landings, you wouldn't bother trying to say it was fake; instead you'd point to some other supposed flaw.

Ergo you confirm the image ... if real(which it is)....proves the moon landings.

The burden of proof is now on YOU to prove it is a fake image.

All I can say is that they'd laugh you out of the debating hall for this statement. If something is fakable, it can't be used as proof as it may have been faked. This is really pretty basic.

You can pretend all you want. The anomalies in the footage and still pictures are such clear proof of a hoax that the only way you're going to sway public opinion on this is to try to keep the public from seeing this proof.

NASA already knew what the area looked like so it shouldn't surprise any thinking person that the Japanese pictures would match. They were already available; who knows what happens behind the scenes. It's very plausible that the Japanese are colluding with the US government. You have a patronizing attitude but your position is very poor.

It's a matter of psychology, I suspect. They like feeling smarter than all of us fat & stupid Wal Mart shopping couch potatoes who accept whatever is beamed at us through the telly. They, by watching certain YouTubes that NASA doesn't want you (or them) to see and reading similar websites and forum posts, are suddenly able to set themselves apart, realising a great truf that we TV-addicted fools simply will not or cannot grasp!

 

Most of them have fallen for the fallacy that the existence of corrupt liars in government equals government lies about everything. They're from populations that have given up on civic solutions(unless you're counting the Tea Party) and are deficient in problem solving skills. Notice how few of them actively show interest in learning the science and/or making inquires to NASA or other agencies? It's a dysfunctional support group for people who have no faith in themselves or citizen government.

That's not counting the smaller faction who know it's a scam and are making money off it.

I'm not on one side or the other here. But, it is a least possible that the moon landings could have been faked. There certainly is compelling evidence for reasonable doubt.


But again, why do these things get you upset? Personally, if I see some crazy people talking amongst themselves, or even shouting through a blow-horn, I simply walk the other way.
