Such a beautiful rationalization by T&J

Fauci is not just an ordinary citizen. He is a career bureaucrat at the top of the food chain in the medical industrial complex.

Therefore he has an obligation to pick his words carefully, so as to not mislead the public.

What he has done over the course of the last year is to terrorize the public. He has given Super Villain status to an engineered virus he helped create. He has led the public into fearing a virus about as dangerous as the flu virus.

Some have figured that out already, some will never figure it out.

The statementS? You only cherry picked 1 line and raped it out of context! lol
You claim you lamented the shortage of masks.
But when it comes down to the lying part, that's where you're leaving it out.

    flip flop flip flop

And it's just what got posted in post 1325.
That poster makes full conclusion based on all what he said. Not just cherry picking 1 line to do some alternative right wing raping.

You say that. But you're obviously parroting Donald's agenda of #firefauci, when Fauci went on disagreeing with Donald back in the day that the thug in chief mattered.

When cases are low a pandemic can be stopped with mitigation. Fauci knew this. He had all the data needed to know people should have been wearing masks when he made those statements. Experts in Asian countries made the correct decisions. Experts the country depends on for epidemiological advice shouldn’t have “opinions” about mitigations that save lives. They should be able to deal in facts. It’s their job. Goodness. Now Fauci should be given a pass because he’s just some dude with an opinion.

LOL. Aren’t you quick on the uptake. Here’s me making that point to you on Jan. 9 in this thread.

In this thread I’ve quoted lies of Fauci from two different interviews. I’ve quoted numerous lines and linked to full interviews. I’ve taken nothing out of context. The statement from 60 minutes I keep quoting word for word is a lie. It’s a lie because it’s an intentional statement that isn’t factual. A lie by definition is an intentionally false statement. The reason one lies is immaterial to the actual lie.
Nope. I’m consistent. A lie is a lie whether told by Trump or Fauci.
The post you reference is tired old debunked rhetoric. It’s propaganda in direct denial of science.
I couldn’t care less about Trump. You are clearly a Trumper though because you approve of making intentionally false statements. :)

Ahh don't worry 557, everybody even lefties saw the daily corona virus update with Fauci and Burk. We all heard and saw them say wearing a mask didn't protect you early on. Then we all saw them flip flop saying they lied to insure we had PPP. Now in lefty land Trump lives in their head so it can't be that Fauci said these things, we have to ignore them because Orange man bad....Anyone with a brain knows it was a royal F'up by Fauci one way or the other concerning masks and we all know he was advising the President. Early on their statements matched, blah blah blah. It's under control, don't wear masks they don't protect from viruses, 6' foot and wash hands. We heard it all from the experts and they were wrong.

Yep. And they are still lying about the 6’distancing being “good enough” and homemade masks are just as good as N95’s.

These people will do or believe any kind of nonsense if it comes from someone “approved” by their masters. It’s insanity.

Could you be more specific? Everything I post on Covid is backed by actual evidence. And it’s not the opinions of others.

I welcome you to provide evidence anything I post on C19 is inaccurate. I don’t approve of any masters. I believe in personal freedom and critical thought as opposed to regurgitation of media or political talking points.

And I believe that quack science and personal freedom does NOT extend to ignoring basic precautions in public when that personal freedom endangers fellow citrizens.

But of course rejection of consensus authority predicated on some maverick scientist's opinion in a public health emergency isn't critical thought its the reckless disregard of dunning kruger manifest.

Please quote something I’ve posted that’s quack science. Then list some basic precautions I’ve advocated against. LOL
Please give the name of this mystery maverick scientist. First I’ve heard of this. Are you a QAnon dude or something?

Now, please point out specific errors I’ve made in presentation of empirical evidence to support your assertion the Dunning Kruger effect is applicable in any way to my posts here.

It should be easy for you to point out my failings. You’ve talked a big game, now present empirical evidence anything I’ve posted is in error. Go...

You are in way over your head...

But you're still raping it out of context by only cherry picking one line, and deliberately leaving out that the general public can't have masks because there aren't enough.
And that's actually his point. He literally says it's his POINT. You're simply utterly dishonest to leave out his point to cook up fake reality like that.

You're consistent to leave out his point. And you've not debunked that.

You care deeply about the legacy of the worst president ever who caused +400.000 people to die under his watch.

All you got is Qanon logic!

How can repeatedly talking about the shortage be leaving it out? The shortage was a reality. The lie Fauci told was a reality. The solution South Korea came up with was a reality. Fauci had a toad nap to success and lied instead of taking that road.

Why would I “debunk” the fact there was a shortage?
Quote anything I’ve said about caring deeply about Trump’s legacy. You are again showing yourself to be a Trump follower because you are now making false statements just like Trump. If you can’t come up with a quote of me saying I care about Trump’s legacy you will forever be known on PF as the guy who supports Trump’s dishonesty by emulating him.
Doesn’t it bother you at all that I’ve never made any of the claims in your link? Did you read it? It’s paragraph after paragraph describing how QAnon hates Fauci for over emphasizing the pandemic and trying to scare people. Conversely, my argument is he downplayed the danger. So you post a link making the exact OPPOSITE argument I make and claim I got my information from that link.

You better be careful or you will end up making more false statements than Trump. If you really don’t like Trump, you should stop mirroring his behavior. It’s making you look a bit silly.

We've yet to see you admit that Fauci's argument was based on his point of a shortage. You're deliberately leaving it out to cook up that Fauci lied.

That is, the solution the South Korean government implemented. Their GOVERNMENT took control of fabrication and distribution of masks.
I sourced that it was the GOVERNMENT of South Korea. And so it's not Fauci's failure that this wasn't done in the US, but Donald since he is head of the government of the US.

We've yet to see you admit that Fauci's argument was based on his point of a shortage. You're deliberately leaving it out to cook up that Fauci lied.

You're shooting the messenger for proving your "argument" contains the same fallacy of right wing QAnon conspiracy nutcases. There are no false statements here.

It's funny to see people rationalize having been duped.

Yes, it is easier to fool a man than it is to explain to him how he has been fooled.

I’m leaving nothing out. There was a shortage. Fauci lied instead of fixing the problem.
Of course it’s Fauci’s failure. Why on earth would anyone in government waste resources on making and rationing masks when Fauci is telling everyone nobody should be wearing masks. Why supply something unnecessary? You should apply some critical thought.
I keep repeating details of the shortage. How can repeated references to something be leaving it out?
My argument contains no fallacy. Fauci made numerous statements that were by definition lies. There is no grey area. They were deliberate statements he knew to be untrue. A lie does not cease to be a lie because @notme likes lies. Some people like Trump’s lies. That doesn’t mean they aren’t lies. Trump has a point to make with some of his lies. That doesn’t mean they aren’t lies or excuse those lies in any way.

At the end of the day, you like lies—just like Trump and some of his followers. I don’t like lies from Trump, Fauci, or anyone else.

Ok all this, why not just say it was fine for Fauci to lie during a crucial time of the pandemic? That's what your entire post is screaming yet you won't just say he lied to all of us about masks. I don't need a book of a post to understand how and why but what is.

It pisses me off every time I come to this section to see all this discussion happening in a thread with such a blatant LIE of a title. I bet people new to the site pop in this section, take a glance at 1300+ comments in this thread, and write us off as anti-masker conspiracy nutjobs.

Because it’s my experience the people who think they are adamantly pro mask are vehemently anti mask when it comes to using them in situations where they would do the most good. I’d be happy to be proven wrong in your case.

I could probably do you one better because I don't even put myself into situations where they would do the most good. I'm 100% work from home, 100% delivery/shipping/curb-side, 100% removed from trivial pleasures like sporting events and theaters and restaurants. I'm saving money, I'm losing weight, I'm protecting my family, and I'm not harming my community by being a spreader or worse, a super-spreader. These days the only time I need to wear a mask is when I get out of the card to meet the curb-side attendant and when I do I've got a fresh N95 on.

If your whole family is quarantined with you, you’re definitely doing it right. (I’ve been self quarantined the majority of the pandemic as well.) If not, the situation where masks do the most good is in the home. For the general population, the pandemic is being driven by infections in the home. Oddly enough, nobody knows or cares until I point it out, then everyone becomes anti mask. They will wear a mask to protect strangers, but not their own loved ones.

You're refusing to acknowledging that Fauci's advise was based on a shortage
He made it his point. That makes the difference that Fauci is right and you're wrong.

Fauci's role is not to get those masks, just like it's not his role to get those vaccines.
That's Donalds role, and he failed.
You know it's his role, because that's how South Korea did it too.
I sourced it. And you're refusing to acknowledge this too.

Fauci said in that 60 minute interview in march that it was the entire point that the general public shouldn't have masks, since there just enough for the actual sick and the healthcare workers. He also said that if the general population would use it, than it would be ineffective.

And so what is lied about that?
Using a mask by the general public gives a reduction of the spread of around 5%, if you up the research.
And if the general public would do that, in march, than it would mean the medical staff would be without.
That would mean the medical staff would be contaminated and be at home being sick, on a massive scale.
Who is going to treat the sick in that scenario? Unskilled immigrants?

The point you KEEP missing is that it was still a lie.
If there is a shortage of seats in a taxi, it is a lie to say its safe to travel in the boot. And the excuse that you only said it to get everyone to the station is not an acceptable reason to tell the lie.
Frankly this seems so obvious that I can only think you've painted yourself into a corner.
