I'm White, Malcolm X was an intelligent man, angry man, but, he took what he was taught, and ran with it because he believed in it and wanted to right a wrong for his own and liberate them. What do you think of Malcolm X?
Not too much other then he was a black Muslim; I was a child when he was assassinated; he was buried in a cemetery which was about a thousand feet from where I lived.
Mohamad Ali also took what he was taught, and ran with it because he believed in it and wanted to right a wrong for his own and liberate them.
After Malcom X made the trip to Mecca for the Haj he had a new understanding of Islam.. That it was NOT the crap that Farrakan preached or the militancy of the Black Panthers. I have always thought that his rejection of racism is the reason he was assassinated.
Funny how two of Malcolm's assassins were freed from jail and allowed to walk the streets. You see, they were Black, and MLK's assassin was White and was never allowed out.
So it's funny to see a black man let off for a change? Or is it that it's because Dr. MLK Jnr was more of an Uncle Tom than Malcolm X?
One of the best public speakers in history. I find his life and impact very interesting, even if a lot of his views during his prime were downright racist. Very few people in history commanded as much respect as he did on a microphone.
