Good god. First, that is something that could easily be tested for. Second, it's absurd to think that a transgender person would compete athletically just to try and win by an unfair advantage.

I don't get this right-wing obsession over the issue of transgenders competing in sports. Seems to be something that is blasted out constantly by fake news, though.

I'll go ahead and explain it, but somehow I think you'll purposely refuse to understand.

When you only hear about trans women winning a competition and you never hear about the losses, it biases your perception. Then again, you're already biased in this regard, aren't you? The fact that we only hear about trans women winning in the news, both real and fake, serves as confirmation bias for you and your existing bias against trans women.

Show us that transgender athletes have any advantage in athletics. A handful of stories about trans athletes winning a competition does not suffice, and that should be obvious. How about some statistics? A scientific assessment of the win-loss statistics in athletics would be nice. Without that, you have nothing but bias to go on.

I would like to think, if I were that athlete, I would be compassionate and see that this is likely the first great thing that has happened in their life. And I would like to think I would be happy for them. There are other races. And there is more to life than 'record times'. How did we all become so screwed up that we consider our athletic accomplishments more important than the happy lives of others?

And the elite pretend we are "enlightened".

 

Theres no such thing as trans women.. they are men. Plain and simple.

 

You are certainly free to speak for yourself - but please, not for me. I have spent the past 30 years working to be a person who speaks for those who can't speak for themselves. And when I say I would like to think that I would act in a certain way, I mean it sincerely. I cannot say for certain because I've never been a professional athlete or completed at the level you mentioned. But I can say that I would be horribly disappointed in myself and would be betraying the person I strive to be by denying a person, who has lived a life of oppression, the chance to succeed and achieve their goals.

 

Tell me why you think it is plausible that someone capable of breaking a word record had no other "great thing" happen in their life?
