It looks like the ability to pass off fake IDs is in peril. A new detection system is undergoing testing. It found its first fake ID in the field.

Some guy tried to board a flight out of Portland. The TSA worker stuck the fake ID in a machine, and it was flagged.

Unfortunately, the criminal got away but security people found fake ID manufacturing equipment and supplies in his luggage.

    Yay team!

Going to be a problem with biometrics.
Face recognition being the most prominent.
The computer is a great boom for fraud, but it's making life difficult
for conventional crime - just look at the burgeoning field of genealogical
DNA now - 2% of all white American DNA will allow you to trace any
white American criminal who left his DNA behind.
