What a joke. A Welfare prince eats 50-70 pounds of food over the course of 7 hours and feels he's getting the short end of the stick because he couldn't eat more. While he does have an argument that the price of admission includes all-you-can-eat, at the same time, he targeted this place knowing he could take advantage of them.

So my question is, is it morally wrong to go to a buffet knowing full well and ahead of time a person is going to cause the business to operate at a loss all while getting more food than he would otherwise get for the money any place else?

Springfield| A man from Massachusetts is suing Golden Corral Corporation for 2 million dollars, for false advertising, after being literally thrown out of one of the chain’s restaurants by the employees, last Thursday.

According to witnesses, the 51 year old man who lives on welfare, was expelled from the restaurant after he then spent more than 7 hours on-site, ingesting a quantity of food which has been estimated between 50 and 70 pounds.

Despite the fact that the restaurant advertised the buffet as “all-you-can-eat”, the manager of the establishment seems to have lost patience at some point, telling him that his meal would be free but asking him to leave. The manager’s intervention angered Mr Fleming, and a brief altercation took place before he was finally pushed out of the restaurant.

He immediately called the police and filed a complaint against the restaurant, and he intends to make the people responsible for his mistreatment, pay for their actions.

“It’s a serious injustice, and I am deeply insulted!” Mr. Flemmings told reporters. “With my income, I rarely go to the restaurant, so I try to get as much as I can for my money when I do. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Not only did they kick me out while I was still hungry, but they looked at me like I was disgusting, like I was not worthy of eating there! It’s unacceptable, and I demand a compensation!”

The direction of the restaurant chain quickly issued a press release announcing that the decision to expel Mr. Flemmings was a regrettable personal initiative from an overzealous franchise manager. They also said that some financial indemnities had been offered to compensate the damage suffered by the victim, but had been refused.

Mr Flemmings confirmed that he had been offered a significant amount of money by the company, but he is convinced that he can get more if he goes to court.

The primary hearing in this case should take place on March 7, at the Springfield District Court.

100% illegal bait and switch. He has a right to sue. You bringing up that he is a welfare king is irrelevant to the point. "All you can eat" mean "All you can eat."

I wonder where he learned it from?

    Many buffets have time limits.

Sue. They are morons for not developing this simple rule.

The guy seems to be a lawsuit waiting to happen …

If he had had a heart attack or stroke while pigging out, he probably would have sued the cafe for that ...

If looking at himself in a mirror (or several) doesn't offend him, nothing can.

Who else was surprised after they read the headline that he was white?

How can anyone but a whale eat 50 pounds of food at once? I'm a pretty big guy and it has to to take me 2 or 3 weeks.

As disgusting as it is that this human being can ingest that much food over 7 hours, the restaurant is at fault. They have to advertise a time limit, or at the very least set the expectation. They have the right to kick the man out, but they are certainly at fault for false advertising and idiocy, that's for sure.

Golden Corral should never have established that policy.

I went to eat a breakfast buffet yesterday with my father. We get there and they just put out a brand new tub of bacon. So I went and ordered my drink and went up to the buffet and this jackwagon took two plates up to the buffet and proceeded to take EVERY LAST PIECE of bacon they just put out and went and sat back down to share with him and his buddy. I ended up not getting any bacon because they had to fry up a new batch. Some people are just inconsiderate.

Taking in customers at mealtimes does not mean they can move in. No meal should take longer than two hours, and no mealtime period would extend to seven. He is absolutely in the wrong.

According to you. The restaurant advertised all you can eat. It didn't say "all you can eat between 4-6pm". If it had, you'd be right, but in this case, the customer was eating all he could eat. That the restaurant didn't like the amount is of no consequence, because they advertised all YOU can eat, not all WE THINK you can eat.

Moreover, who says a meal lasts 1-2 hours? Where di you get that arbitrary figure?

That fat pig should go to Subway and see if he can lose a lot of weight and if he isn't a child molester like that guy Jarret I think his name was and he can get paid for eating.

Does the link say what his political philosophy and/or political affiliation is ?

He is a good specimen for retro-active abortion but that is against the conservative creed so I guess he will be allowed to live.

He is on "welfare"? Or is it that being a pig qualifies him for SS disability if someone categorizes pig.assitty as a disease.

Assuming there were no restrictions or disclaimers on the all-you-can-eat promotion, and the man has a good case .... how much additional food was he denied by Golden Corral? Could he have eaten another 20 or 30 pounds?

What were his damages? To make him "whole", what should he be paid? $2 million seems ridiculously excessive. If I was on the jury, I'd:

    1) award him one dollar in damages,
    2) tell him to go on a diet, and
    3) suggest he get a job.
