    HYPERLINK has full story

    snip

A British man is asking the National Health Service (NHS) to pay to turn him into a man again after he found that the taxpayer-funded sex-change surgery he had seven years ago to make him a "woman" left him depressed and despondent.......................................

"I have realized it would be easier to stop fighting the way I look naturally and accept that I was born a man physically," he said.

Chelsea, who now wants to return to his original name of Matthew, lives on welfare benefits, according to the Mirror, and insists that he does not feel guilty about asking taxpayers to pay for the reversal surgery and hormone treatment.

The original treatment reportedly cost the NHS £10,000 (about $16,000 U.S.). The reversal treatment, for breast removal and cosmetic male genital replacement, is estimated to run up a bill of £14,000 (nearly $23,000).

WOW, I believe the story speaks for itself including that he is a welfare recipient. Here is an example where a person had an obvious psychological disorder but had a lopmydickoffme surgery performed as treatment.

Now he wants the taxpayers to pay for him to be reconstructed as a male including putmydickbackonme surgery.

IMO, this person should be committed, observed and given the proper medication. The taxpayers should not be paying for his little fantasy games or for him to stay home sitting on his butt.

At what point will we as a people realize that this nonsense must stop and common sense must return?

yeah, that may fly in the UK, but not in the USA, you need to pay for your own elective surgery here

It appears the UK health care system is in need of some sort of stupidity exclusion clause.

I've heard of taxpayers paying for these types of surgeries in California. I'm pretty sure it was an employee of the city of San Francisco, but don't quote me.

    Is it covered in 0bamacare?

Oh, I agree. We as a society are failing people like this guy. His family appears not to be there. If they were, then he would never had the penis removal surgery as a "cure" for his mental disorder.

We seem to be so worried about offending people that we don't want to call a spade a spade. Sadly, IMO, liberalism has spread so wide it has become an untreatable, stage-4 cancer.

I just hope that we as a people can survive and recover from the damage done by liberalism.

Looks like Obamacare will be covering gender reassignment on the taxpayer dime. Just ask Bradley/Chelsea Manning the traitor in military prison. It's getting ridiculous and weird now!

So, it might make more sense to desert political correctness and as soon as someone wants a gender change, to send them to see the shrink, and let them undergo therapy for a mental dysfunction.

If a person want to be the opposite sex, we seem to think that is quite alright, but if they want to be a dog, we see them as being nutty. Perhaps there is no difference? They are mentally ill and need treatment for the illness instead of just indulging them.

Okay. Sad what he went through. I hope that in the end he can come to terms with his body.

if the person uses their own money for the cosmetic surgery then so be it. Look to Michael Jackson or Joan Rivers. It's when taxpayers or insurance is called upon to pay that the psychological treatment should be the offered solution.

Such cases are unusual. Its also a sensationalist story. The practical reality is noethical surgeon would re-engage in a second sex reversal. First off it can't be done without extreme complications, secondly in this case it would appear the psychiatrics issue won't end if the individual is changed back. It will just repeat itself.

As a general rule there are strict rules for screening people for sexual reassignment so I doubt the individual will qualify.

Again I can not speak for gay people or people who feel trapped in the wrong body. Some I would hope can learn to accept who they are and stop fighting it. I hate to see people who hate themselves. Others its up to them and their physicians. Its not my business.

This surgery is dangerous and its no cake walk. The patients are supposed to be screened and spend years undergoing therapy before they are operated on and the hormones they take can make them very ill and susceptible to violent and unpredictable mood swings, depression and other side effects.

I do not morally judge such people. I just hope they find a solution to their conflicts and come to accept themselves.

We tend to take stories like this and use them to generalize all transgendered people as nut cases or self indulgent. Thanks I pass. To me these are not news stories-they are private matters that are none of my f..ing business.

Actually that's pretty much the opposite of the truth. Were he able to restore this man to his previous state, an ethical surgeon would do it in a heartbeat. What that surgeon would never do is perform the original "sex reassignment" surgery.

There see? Being a woman is hard.

I'm sure the tax payers are pissed off.

There see? This is why people who are unhappy with their body or feel trapped should really try to learn to accept themselves first, before they go and get an expensive surgery to change their gender.

If he waits a few more years maybe they can grow the REAL natural replacement parts in a lab, instead of going with the cosmetic putmydickbackonme surgery.

very eloquent words but let's consider other maladies.

If a person is prone to stealing, do we encourage that behavior?

If a person believes themselves to be "Superman", do we help them to the roof of a building?

the obvious answer is "no" and we try to get them the psychological help they desperately need.

Why is it that you and others, when it comes down to a person with a penis saying they are female, that you wish to encourage that be it with lopmydickoffme surgery or enabling it so they can use any restroom they use? Why isn't psychological treatment the proposed solution?

he needs to get a job, get off his butt, get a clue and see a shrink

sometimes a world of good can be done by telling someone to suck it up and grow up

Hard as I tried, I could not make me feel for this person. If he/she was gainfully employed or at least feel ashamed asking for public assistance well, maybe. As is, just another parasite.

Agreed and a good case for forcing welfare recipients to either work or perform community service in exchange for free money.

It's just like I told somebody who was complaining about insomnia. Get up at 4:15 am in order to be at work by 6:30 and don't take a nap during the day. Come 9 pm, you'll be sleeping like a baby.

People with too much time on their hands usually create their own problems. Which is fine, except when they expect others to pay to 'fix' them.

What a freak, and useless leech. This guy should obligated to work in a circus free of charge. All of his earnings should be redirected to the taxpayers of the UK.

This sentence more than proves that you have no knowledge of the psyche of a transgender person. This story is about one person's experience and does not represent all transgenders.

if the guy is so messed up that he can't work, does that sound like adding and deleting a penis is going to fix his mental issues?

Hell, I don't recognize this world. The majority has been beaten down by minorities and their liberal handlers. What we're witnessing is self destruction. Shame, ain't it? :(

Common sense and decency is now bad and evil. Christians being sent to re-education camps and threatened with arrest if they don't embrace the homosexual lifestyle.

And the left says that's a good thing

    I disagree.
    Completely.

    And it's "she"... not "he".

    For now.
