Ah, look what happens when you have no rights but are serfs to the rulers.

    Snip...

And that is what the progressive/leftists want to impose here in the U.S.

I’m not quite sure what your point is. Are you suggesting that anyone who does one good thing can never be suspected of doing a bad thing or that nobody should be on any terror watch lists?

LOL, the product of political correctness is at work here when the man fought against violent Islamic extremists so somehow he my be Islamophobic.

Not “so”. He did indeed fight against Islamic extremists when faced with them. Independently of that act he has reportedly been in context with right-wing extremists and that is apparently why he’s is on a watch list. If he hadn’t got caught up in the terror attack but had been in contact with the extremists, he’d still be on the watch list but nobody would be commenting on it.

Independently of the details of this specific case (because we can’t possibly know either way), do you believe it is impossible for a person to do a good thing but then do a bad thing later on?

Sometimes you gotta love Americans for their simplified black-n-white-good-n-evil way of looking at the world.
It makes things so much easier.

Nobody knowing just how much insane leftist ideology has systematically screwed over Great Britain while eliminating anything like a commonsense approach to government and law could be shocked by this. This is in fact the future of the United States of America. Our leftists with their anti-U.S.A. ideology simply happen to be about twenty-five years behind their British cousins in the implementation and enforcement of the same. But it's definitely coming.

Been years ago but a man in England was charged with using a weapon when he defended himself from attack with the book he was carrying.

Legalise guns for the public and change the laws so people can defend themselves and their property with lethal force if need be.

Legalising guns will massively increase the killing of the innocent particularly children as we see in the mass shootings at schools in the US. There is no need to change the law to allow people to use the necessary force to defend themselves. It is already there by law....but I see you have added and property. No we do not have the right to kill someone for breaking our window, nor should we. But if your life is in danger in the UK you can if necessary kill the other person to save yourself.

You can't injure or kill someone attacking you or robbing you in the UK.

You are wrong. Anyone can use reasonable force in self-defence or the direct prevention of a crime, even if that reasonable force inadvertently results in injury or even the death of the target. What you can’t (legally) do is use excessive force or go out of your way to cause injury or death because (you believe) someone has committed a crime.

We have guns. The public can and do own guns. You obtain a gun after obtaining a shotgun and/or firearm certificate.

    And repeat. We have guns.........

    And repeat. We have guns.........

    And repeat. We have guns.........

I wonder how many times we have to repeat ourselves to get this into the skulls of Americans?

Unfortunately you miss the point. Nothing to do with political correctness and I can't believe I'm having to explain this. He's not being considered a danger by being a survivor of a terrorist attack, he's been listed because of his now mental state of mind. We could one day be a terror attack survivor, and if you wish to claim yourself or someone else's a hero, then do so. But if you become extreme yourself, as this chap has, you then become known to the authorities.

And how many of them are allowed to be carried concealed on a daily basis by ordinary citizens?

None and the best option is none. We don't live in fear like you guys do. We don't feel or believe we're surrounded by loads of enemies. To feel the need to carry a gun in public is a fallacy.

I hate to burst your bubble, we no longer live in the Wild West days and John Wayne was a fictional character. You no longer need to swagger down the high street chewing tobacco and slinging a gun.

You need to let go, breathe and stop worrying.

Lacking the knowledge of the U.S. your words mean nothing here, so put a lid on it.

Which has nothing to do with either the subject or reality.

You need to mind your own business and not tell people you have never met nor understand what they need to do.

In the U.S. we, unlike the sheeple in the U.K. need not live in fear of being chopped up by some less than assimilated Islamists, the reason being, we are allowed to, if we wish to be able to defend ourselves.

Maybe before preaching about the U.S., you might try cleaning up the s-hole the U.K. has become, where knifings and vehicular homicides are becoming the norm, not the exception.

I've been to the US a number of times mate. You have a 1st amendment, I will say whatever I want. Stop living in the musket days. Today's society needs responsible citizens, not those clinging to this rights crap.

In the U.S. it is a citizens responsibility to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic, you fit the former.

You may be content to be a subject, a person who bows to the ruling class and knows your place in a caste society, a true American would never drop that low, we kicked your kind to the curb for our freedoms a long time ago and do not need your foolish advice on how to protect them or worse yet surrender them, that stated, you can take your thoughts as to what we as Americans should do and stuff them somewhere I won't mention.
