You think researchers could not come up with the idea to include all kinds of things, like criminal history, to fairly compare how different ethnicities get sentenced? Well, they did. And with all kinds of variabels and labels got checked out, it just ends up to be that black people get sentenced much harder. Top of my head, it was something like 30% more time in jail. When black, you also do not get out on parole as easy compared to when white. White and black people about equally contribute to drug related crimes. But the predominantly white police force fanatically arrest far more black people. And ones arrested, black people more often dragged to court, and get convicted more often too. It all paints a picture that black people are more criminal, but the fact is that it aint so. They just end up in jail far more often and longer. That's how racism is simply institutionalized. The data shows this. And when the data shows how it is in the "justice" department, it leaves nothing to the imagination what the US society is as a whole. Should we be shocked that some white cop smiles at the camera when he lynches a black man in brought daylight over the course of 9 minutes as if we're looking at some ISIS fighter killing an infidel? Absolutely. But it fits how the US society is. Do note, we had a heck of a lot of cop supporters on this forum when they saw that one. It just all fits.
