I wasnt sure whether to put this in health care or civil rights... its equally applicable to both.

How does body autonomy relate to forced vaccinations? Can we bar the unvaccinated from public areas? Or is it more acceptable to expect each individual to protect themselves? Hepa masks and sterile gloves are a lot less expensive than vaccine injury settlements and the resulting lifelong medical treatments at vaccine consumer expense.
Vaccine manufacturers are already protected from liability of their products thanks to Regan's Vaccine Injury Compensation program that taxes the consumer to pay for damages, creating little financial or legal incentive for quality control. Would mandatory vaccines further decrease the quality controls of vaccine makers?

Any other dynamics I forgot to mention?

Errr no the PPE required by hospitals to protect workers is expensive unless you want nurses to work 12 hour shifts without Pee breaks. Take it from me that leads to NASTY nurses!!

Vaccination is not really different from requiring people not to run amok with knives. Once armed they may not kill everyone but they could do a lot of damage.

Well I don't think it should be a criminal offense to not get vaccinations, but it's personally reasonable to deny access to public accommodations like public school. We've already seen the results of that in high income communities that are anti vax conspiracy nuts. Theirschools resemble a 19th Century orphanage with childhood diseases running amuck.

Few places in the US restrict anyone from carrying knives, yet there is little 'running amok' with them going on, so the comparison seems... off?

Im not sure why folks would need to take similar precautions to nurses... the vast majority of hospitals mandate vaccinations for staff anyway, so the extra precautions are due to the increased risk associated with the hospital setting, not applicable to the general public.

How do you feel about forced vaccinations and/or restricting the unvaccinated from public areas?

Do you think access to public school should be barred to the unvaccinated at the Federal level, or left to the state or even on a school by school basis, according to the parents in each district?

What about the unvaccinated that cant afford alternatives to public school? Would you consider it reasonable for their children to be taken by CPS for prolongued truency violation if they are opposed to vaccines (or cant afford higher quality and more expensive 'clean' vaccines) but cannot afford public school or homeschool, and cant get into public school because of being unvaccinated?

Well clearly that sounds like a state level issue. I'm not sure how to justify a Federal role in that.

As far as truancy goes, I guess that's a state by state issue and I don't know how different states already handle children who refuse to have required vaccines. Just keep doing whatever they are doing now I guess.

    It was a metaphor

I guess people quickly forget the public response to SARS and H1N1

As for forced vaccinations - mate we have come close. No vaccine no government child subsidy and our vaccination compliance rate just went through the roof

You cannot get me to agree that high levels of vaccination are bad - seen too many cases of diseases that everyone thought were no longer with us

That was neither a question or even my point.

How do you feel about forced/coerced vaccination of those who dont want it?
