Why what is better? I have made no claims that monogamy or poly is better. The best that can be claimed is that one is better for a given person or persons. Especially since "better" is a subjective value.
Sounds like the lifestyle of the typical Hollywood star. I would wonder about getting Hepatitis or HIV, even if needles are not being shared.
Except that in most poly units, there is typically less drama than in the average Hollywood star's life. That's two of the myths of poly right there. That one it's all about sex and two that it's inherently unsafe or less safe than a traditional couple. If all partners are tested clean and hey keep within their group...then it's no more or less risky than in a traditionally two partner monogamous relationship.
Fascinating! I have been exploring alternative lifestyles as well. After a horrible marriage and worse divorce, I started looking for options. In the process I have discussed this with many young women who no longer view marriage as a desirable option. For the last five years I have gone the sugar baby route.

Just keep in mind that there is major differences between polyamory and sexuallly open relationship. Nowadays swinging is just for married couples. The term is coming to apply to those who hold a primary relationship or even relationships, but agree they can have sexual partners outside that relationship. One can be both poly and a swinger. Poly is mainly about the emotional relationship, as is a marriage or a long term dating/live together relationship. Any sex is secondary.
