A news item reported by Drudge Report discloses that the National Archives and Records administration conducted a raid at Mar-a-ago last month to retrieve several boxes of White House records covered by the presidential records archive act. Apparently the Trump administration is now recognized as having done the poorest job since the Nixon administration in preserving presidential records as required by law.

Hey! Those secret service guys that stand in front of the constitution, and declaration of independence finally got to do something. Good for them. I always wondered since I saw that if that was like the screw up job. "That's it Johnson you're on paper duty!"

A quick internet search will show you that several news outlets are reporting the same...

... and if you actually read the articles, it clearly states that every single administration has in some form or another, violated the Records requirement since it has existed. Anybody seen a few thousand missing emails?

And they didn't 'raid', good God, the drama!!

I had to googled this. Wow, Drudge Report does say "raids"......I was surprised by that detail, if accurate.

The wording doesn't alter the results, the documents were removed illegally from the White House and had to be retrieved by government employees?????

Did you even bother to read what I posted? It wasn't a 'raid'.

A raid is described as an official visit for the purpose of obtaining information or data without advance warning of the visit.

My take is Drudge used the word to make it sound like "the heavy hand of government" descended on his home. It was spin to generate sympathy for Don. The Wa Po article I saw made no mention of a "raid."

If they went to Mar-a-Lago without advance warning, then it was a raid.

Trump has spent his entire life lying, cheating and stealing. That's who he is.

It is impossible for anyone paying attention to be alarmed by this. He has NEVER played by the rules.

The saddest part is that he's conned millions of people into believing he is the victim. Anyone else would be in prison by now.

I was with you until the last sentence.

There are many politicians that have conned, lied, cheated, finagled and double dealt. They aren't in jail.

    True.

Nevertheless, there aren't many politicians that...

    * Abused the Hatch Act.
    * Price gouged to the tunes of millions of dollars for the hotel rooms where his Secret Service had to stay.
    * Pilfered from his own inaugural funds (and had his equally horrible daughter lie about it under oath).
    * Was forced by a judge to return the millions of dollars he took, unauthorized, from donors' bank accounts.
    * Refused to follow policy and protocol to cooperate with the next Administration's transition team.
    * Planted two tons of hatred, animosity and BS into his supporters' minds.
    * Manipulated and outright lied to get his supporters to storm the Capitol.
    * Stood by silently while the aforementioned supports gang attacked Capitol police officers.
    * Showed no remorse or even acknowledgment of the 5 Capitol police that are now dead as a result of being at that riot.
    * Continues to Monday morning quarterback Biden's actions (Obama didn't do that to him).
    * Refuses to table his public nervous breakdown and work **with** this Administration for the good of our country.

I get that you have an issue with Trump. But what you listed above, some of which is not technically true, has nothing to do with records that were retrieved from Mar A Largo.

Repeating, every administration has apparently violated the Records act since it's inception.... Trump's were at Mar A Largo. Facts.

I have not being doing well lately so I'm kind of frazzled.

Would you mind telling me what things you believe that are not "technically true"?
