I would like to nominate this OP post for Thread of the Month. I find this to be a very timely OP because it uses Trump's own words as the foundation for the indictment. In Trump rally after rally peaceful protesters were ejected and often violently attacked by Trump supporters and Trump's security and Trump encouraged that violence against anyone that would protest his inflamatory and often racist rhetoric. While the recent violent protest at a Trump rally by protesters cannot be condoned it must be understood that it is response to the violence by Trump supporters and security against peaceful protesters in the past that Donald Trump, as documented, consistantly and repeatedly encouraged. There's a Biblical passage that a person "reaps what they sow" and Trump has sown the seeds of violence during his campaign and that is documented in this OP. A great OP with proper documentation providing support for the opinion that addresses a very important issue in today's politics.
I would like to nominate this thread because it's an important subject and am glad to see substantive contributions to the thread. This post kicked it off:
My nomination. It is well thought out, well written, compelling, balanced, and causes one to stop and think. I think this thread, this OP exemplifies the mission statement of the forum. http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=450698&p=1066035896#post1066035896 Why do liberals ALWAYS defend Muslims? Is it because they're mostly a shade of brown? You know, just the usual liberal white guilt knee jerk reaction you can expect every time the subject in question has skin colour which is black or brown. Or, is it something else? Illuminate me to this conundrum.
TFM - Just a reminder that you need to include a copy of the actual post and not just a link to it. When I did that it was by pretending to quote the post in the thread and then copying it to this thread. Mine was a bit more complex because it had internal quotations that don't appear when you respond to a post. I would also note that when I clicked on your link it didn't take me to the post and instead I got an error message.
