I would assume that would be cover by investing in the cities where poverty is worse. Education as well but just taking from one group and giving to another seems like a bad way to go about it in my opinion

I do not know. USA abandons millions of people in need of help.

Lack of free mental health care is mainly responsible for 70,000 drug overdose deaths per year.

First of all, what do you mean by "total UBI"? A ubi just means a universal basic income, that's it.

    Wrong.

    It would increase shootings.

It would also increase drug addiction, gang violence, homelessness and rape.

I thought this was obvious. If you make it so people see hope in their lives, they are more likely to not off themselves.

Society cannot abandon anyone as society has no responsibility for anyone in the first place.

    Everyone is dying.

Why would giving people more money to spend make them more likely to commit murder? You ever hear of motive? None of this follows.

Hard to say. Where is the commonality in group that seems to include rich and poor young and old apolitical and political of all spectrums.

Yes I have heard of motive

My post was a sarcastic response to a post which was just as silly

The Govs punted trillions into the hood over the last 60 years. There was less violence before we started.

Good try but that post did follow. Having more money monthly income would give people more means to start a family and have kids who maybe didn't feel they had the means beforehand. It would most likely increase birthrates, whether you see that as a good or bad thing is debatable.

I'd say the argument would be the money isn't useful if inflation causes all that extra money to go in others pockets (land Lords, grocery stores)

Did everyone in the "hood" get this money equally?

    No it did not follow.

We have been handing out trillions to people for decades and it has not lower crime ( or poverty ) whatsoever.

people commit less crime when they have to work at a job to make a living and no one throws money at them

White women were doing the same in even more numbers than women of color.

I don't see Cuban means testing his Mavericks ticket holders and giving them discounts. I won't go to a game unless somebody gives me free tickets.

I'd agree with that except for a caveat, people are more healthy when they are doing something which gives them a purpose, it doesn't nessecarily have to be traditional work. Give me these examples of money being thrown at people in the hood equally, because equally is the only way it would ever work, otherwise you get a giant stigma and lots of unintended consequences..
