Well isn't that just what you and folks like Golem promote everyday in regards to COVID? So am I to understand you are now in favor of returning to the workplaces, social gathering holes, rallies and normal life with just a mask as THE cure to all things COVID?

 

OH come now! You know if you hide long enough the virus will simply get tired of waiting and leave our world! Look how many other known virus's have stopped infecting us over the centuries because we have learned to outrun them and hide in caves, huts, cabins and houses!! Yup the more advanced we become the more stupid we act and believe..

Now thousands of children around the world and U.S. are beginning to starve to death because a large group of idiots think crumbling economics are more important then natural selection, or maybe these house hiders believe the death of these children are a sacrifice to the virus God and once it's hunger is appease it will return to the nether regions from whence it came

If you wear a face mask in confined, badly ventilated spaces, it might help avoid catching droplets emitted from others but if you are in an open-air environment, the use of face mask is not very efficient.

USA

• • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not recommend that people who are well wear a face mask (including respirators) to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
• • US Surgeon General urged people on Twitter to stop buying face masks.

Why do you never read? I didn't say it, nor did I suggest it. Why did you then imply that I had? I said, read the quote..... "Protect them". Did I not? Why is that you seem to have conveniently left that part out and then suggested what you did? How about this. You say that sending everyone out with a mask is just fine. Why don't you care? The data suggests that your position will put folks directly in harms way. Why do you want everyone to die?

 

It does seem quite the conundrum for progressive folk who seem entirely hell bent on getting as many of the old folks off the social security so they can redirect that money... oh... wait, were we supposed to discuss this??? Get out, travel, but only to the essential places, like Walmart because that's where all the other likely infected folks are, and you'll spend all your money in super overpriced hospital beds pumping much needed funds into a primary supporter of the DNC while you suffer and eventually die. Yup, that's the ticket these scheisters are playing these days. Oh, and starving kids? Just a glitch. They weren't going to school anyways, so why not pay the teachers to just stay home so their union can claim they are "safe"... It's disgusting what the left are demanding these days. Even the CDC say they don't. Why do you continue to trot out such demonstrably false assertions? If snobby sue is wearing her super expensive Valentino designer face covering and it can't stop a smaller than 50 micron particle, how am I protected from her? Oh, and I'm being hugely generous on the size of particle that will easily transcend her designer mask. Even medical masks are unable to stop sub 10 Micron particles, and frankly, that's why medical folks have to also wear face shields. Your belief in your certainty is frightening because you'll assume you are protected when clearly you aren't. And that is, and always has been the point of this discussion. If you "feelz" better, that's all that really matters to you, doesn't it. If your fear demands that everyone else around you wore a plastic bubble you'd be the first to demand it. The problem is that you think that you can demand your way out of this data driven discussion. It cannot.

Please provide a link created within the last couple of months from CDC saying that masks do not provide some protection to others from infected people who wear a mask

 

Please provide any evidence that the CDC have issue any data on this in the last few months. We can certainly refer to where they did, as of March tell folks what protections they might receive. Show me how your request is reasonable.
