Funny you say that a few minutes after I was chatting with my FFL Dealer about the 9mm carry piece I ordered.
Will carry the 9 in my work vest and the .380 LCP in an ankle rig. But that’s only when working Detroit. When not in the D. I’ll just carry my .380 in my phone case on my belt. You?

I'm absolutely positive that you can't link to anything that I've ever posted here (or anywhere else online) that shows me not being willing to consider all information on a given subject. With that said, I am also not inclined to believe in the demonization of certain races, religions or sexual orientation that mainstream media often uses to keep people hating one another and divided.

I don't own a gun, it is illegal in nyc, but I served in the army and I saw trained soldiers reaction to sudden shooting. I can imagine what will be the reaction of armed, untrained civilian in a crowded building when it is not sure who is a mass shooter and who is an armed civilian.

Well if you can't do anything about them I suggest monetizing the whole issue.

What you need to do is legalize sports betting on mass shootings at the national level. Open a pool at the start of a year and then take it from there. There would be all sorts of interesting combinations. First mass shooting of the year by State, number of people killed or injured, type of weapon used, number of rounds fired, longest time from start to finish. The possibilities are endless. You could even let overseas national bet on the outcomes to increase revenue.

Then by taxing the bets appropriately you can use the proceeds to compensate the victims or their families. It would be a 'win win' for everyone.

I'd draw the line though at letting the shooters, their friends or families etc place bets though. That would be unethical.

I chose agree because I don't think America has the will to do anything that will make a difference. There can be minor legislative changes here and there but nothing that will reduce the shootings. I expect it to continually grow during my lifetime. I think the only hope of real change is "a yet to be determined" technology solution.

Not....Alaska and Hawaii were not counted because they don't specifically ban ammo but these states are open for business: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
At checkout they ask if you're 21 or over and that you don't have any legal restrictions.......you know liars lie.

And? Did you see the states that allow it to be shipped to an FFL ONLY? You cannot make ammo illegal, so you're wasting your time.

Those were included in the original six I mentioned and I am not suggesting making ammo illegal....reread what I wrote.

    Good question......
I believe that mass shootings can become a thing of the past other than for in film projects....... but Christian Theologians need to face some troubling philosophical and theological questions.

Good. Don't buy one. Problem solved,.
You cannot demonstrate the necessity for, or efficacy of, such mindless nonsense.

Ah, your go to phrase. You know the NRA at one time used the Swiss in their rhetoric as an example of a country with a high proportion of citizenry with guns that has low crime and gun violence, so I think we should adopt the Swiss system.

I disagree with the idea that a 'fix' for the problem is technological. The problem is legal not technological. Historical legal precedence set by the Supreme Court have rendered virtually all attempts to restrict 2nd Amendment rights in virtually any way. Technological fixes like trigger locks and gun safes already exist that would reduce if not eliminate mass homicides but they can't be mandated by law.

Basically the State cant impose any kind physical restraint on firearms that would limit the ability of the owner to operate them. Hell as far as I am aware the States can't even mandate compulsory training in the use of a firearms. Any idiot can walk into ta gun store, purchase one and never train a day in their life.

So until such time as there is sufficient public momentum to force through a new 'second' amendment' modifying the (IMO) overly broad interpretation of the original one nothing will change.

We also have legal access to almost any handgun that's semi-automatic with a sufficient barrel length.

It's curious that there are all these mass killers around holding their tongue waiting for semi-auto rifles to get the same treatment before they pull off dozens of mass shootings per year, especially since the most deadly school shooting in US history was with handguns legally available here. There seems to be something almost supernatural about long arms.

Then again, mass shooters tend to not be overly bright.

True, but we also impose limits on magazine capacity as well (or least we do in NSW, I assume the other States are similar). In NSW the limit is 10 round mags, even though many types of pistol will take 15 or 17 round magazines.

The real difference here though is that you have to join a club to get a license for a handgun, then get Police checks done, attend training sessions and pass handling and knowledge tests before you can purchase a pistol. After that you have to keep attending the range a few times a year to keep your licence.

Finally you don't get permission to pick up your pistol until Police have visited your home to check you have an approved gun safe installed and a separate compartment or storage unit for ammunition.

So the real protection from serial killers using handguns us that A) most of them wouldn't pass muster at the clubs and B) they eont have the patience to work through all the beurocracy.

Anyway, despite all the beurocracy pistol clubs if not booming are at least still prospering. People like the sport.

10 round mags are the legal limit. 10+1 in the chamber technically.

I agree on the club measures, I think they are a good idea in nations without the RKBA, for semi-automatic rifles also.

At least in WA police do not come and check your safe, you send them images of the room, the install, and they approve it or have you amend the setup. That's a better way in my view.

Indeed - a challenge to you which you know cannot meet - as proven by your repeated inability to do so.
You cannot demonstrate the necessity for, or efficacy of, any of the restrictions you seek to to pay upon the rights of the law abiding.

Look for example disarmed communist Europe where governments punish and torture citizens as they please.
If peoples want to be free they must be obliged to keep privately guns as protection against tyranic government.
In Germany for example the Constitution allows citizens to stand up against tyranny.
Practically is the stipulation dead because Germans are disarmed.
Merkel laughs about their peaceful protests
But if any German would have privately AR-15 Merkel & Co would be kicked out already in 2015.

Only free possession of guns is the guarantee for Freedom

What a unique perspective. Violent insurrection rather than the democratic process. Yeah, that'll work. You sound like a teenager who doesn't understand how successful societies work.

You'll just need to ask people with common sense (don't tell Bender).
