Let’s say for a moment you’re a police chief. You have 10 precincts and 20 officers. 9 of those precincts COMBINED are responsible for 50% of your violent crime.

The other ONE precinct alone is responsible for the other 50% of your violent crime.

Would you send 2 officers to each precinct to make sure they’re policed evenly? Or would you send a disproportionate amount of officers and resources in to the ONE precinct that is responsible for 50% of your total violent crime?

 

Leftists do this time and time and time again. While they have good hearts with good hearted policies, these policies always usually either do not work or actually backfire and make things worse. Great example. Another example: the states with the highest income inequality are actually blue states.

A lot of violent crime is drugs related. People steal for drugs, or people fight out turf wars or do rip deals etc. It also causes partner violence, child abuse, child neglect and sexual assault. Around 60% of the prisoners is an addict / drug abuser. So that leaves nothing to the imagination how bad that is. (Alcoholism and violence is also a thing).

So a person like you would conclude that the higher rate that black people get incarcerated is because they are committing that many more crimes. But THAT is just a bold assumption not based on anything. There is always the possibility that cops just ignore the crimes committed by white people on a massive scale. And unfortunately it's a fact they are. White people end up ODing more on drugs. About the same %of white people use or deal drugs. But they simply aint getting arrested THAT much over it compared to black people, and we're talking of a difference of 250%!!! While cops are predominantly white.

And for the luls, and you're free to look it up. When caught,... black people get longer sentences compared to white people for the same crime under the same circumstances like the same criminal background. Judges are also predominantly white. It's also a spiral. Because the system works like this, it means black people got a higher chance of getting arrested again on drugs. While children who are raised up in a single parent family got a higher chance of becoming criminal. So white people and their children as well, are getting a nice amount of privilege.


So in short: good for you to drag in who got convicted over violent crime.
But that doesn't mean at all that black people are doing that much crime since cops are rather picky in who they end up arresting to get them convicted.


It falls in a wider pattern of who cops end up pulling over when driving. It again is the black population, while white people have a higher % of having infractions with the law.
It also falls in the pattern of arrested for watering flowers. Arrested for picking up litter. You must know them news articles.
