Indeed, a week after being soundly defeated despite the aid of the president's aura and kind words, Bevin has conceded.

Though he initially spouted nonsensical conspiracy theories about voter fraud, theories which he apparently is running from, it is nice to see a man finally come to his senses and ensure on orderly and lawful transfer of his office to the election winner.

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin conceded defeat on Thursday, ceding to Democrat Andy Beshear after a recanvass of last week's election showed Bevin trailing Beshear by 5,136 votes.

Bevin, a Republican, told reporters inside the state capitol in Frankfort that the recanvass did not “significantly” change the outcome of the race, and he wouldn’t contest the results with the state legislature.

This is what a person with class and dignity does when things don't turn out the way he wanted. He could have blamed the Russians, misandry, cable news, the NY Times, etc, but he didn't. The left could learn a lot from this guy. How much do you want to bet no one rushed to impeach his opponent 19 minutes after the results were in? And I'm certain there wasn't a day of screaming by his disappointed supporters.

Yeah, he makes a bunch of claims about voter fraud then flees?

Who knew that losing by .4% and Kentucky doing its normal thing(Dem governors. They usually have dem governors and repub governors don’t last more than a term there, the last time a republican governor was elected in two consecutive terms was way back in 1895 then 1899, back when they only allowed governors to have one term) was being soundly defeated? I certainly didn’t.

    Soundly defeated? LMFAO!

Beshear only won by 0.4 points.

All other down ballot races were won by Republicans by significant amounts. Some by double digits.

Beshear is just a fluke. He won't win re-election.

Don't you know that you only have to win by one (1) vote?

Come on, state races/votes are a little different then a nation vote.. That was sort of obvious, I'm shocked you would even post something like that on a political forum

Well his opponent wasn’t a conman getting Russian help, so it’s not really comparable.

A person with class & dignity would not openly discuss using the Republican majority in the state legislature to over turn the result or make claims about the result being invalid for which there was zero evidence. They must hand out kool aid with GOP registration these days.

Glad I have never heard a democrat complain about voter suppression, voter fraud, election rigging, or bitching because they got swept away by an electoral college defeat.
