Mattis Admits No Evidence Assad Used Poison Gas

Mattis admits what intelligent people already knew: There is no evidence that Assad used chemical weapons. Instead, US "intelligence" relied on the mere allegations of the TERRORIST rebels to make their case against Assad. I mean, if Al Qaeda says Assad used chemical weapons, then it must be true, right?

Of course, this candid admission by Mattis will be glossed over by all the shills and hacks promoting war in Syria. They will just keep rambling on about "barrel bombs" and "poison gas" and other inflammatory nonsense regardless.

The media repeatedly say Assad did it (zero evidence presented, as usual) and that's that. It's become a historical fact.

I think in the round, there is more chances that "Assad" did it than anyone else.
Syria had/has an active WMD program. Given it's relations with Israel that is no surprise at all.

But the country has gone to ****. Who is in charge of what is uncertain.
Also the use of chlorine gas? Who gives a ****.

I tend to just dismiss it all as demonisation.

 

As I've said here very recently, Assad couldn't have used chemical anything because it had all been removed from Syria and destroyed (or added to the stockpiles of countries which removed it?). But then, say something often enough and the intellectually-challenged will believe it.

 

Chlorine gas, you can't remove.
It's bleach + acid.

You can make it in your kitchen or your toilet. Put bleach in the bowl, piss in it.

As far as being a WMD however it is a Weapon of Mass Discomfort rather than mass destruction.

 

The US government repeatedly said Assad did it,... and that was covered by the media.

 

I wasn't sure if there was evidences or not - I think a French lab had found out some - but one thing I always was sure of: There was no reason for Assad to use these. To the contrary.

And that bugged since since day one about it.

But they have presented zero hard evidence to support this claim - whereas there is excellent evidence showing that the claim is untrue.

Seymour Hersh's article for one - where Britain's Porton Down proved the Sarin samples weren't from Syrian military stockpiles (they came from Turkey) --- and Prof. Theodore Postol's in-depth analysis in the second alleged attack. Then you have the point made by the late Robert Parry using evidence in Annexe II of the UN Report which showed that 100 gas victims had been taken to various hospitals 1 hour before the alleged attack is claimed to have happened.

In other words all these claims remains unproven allegations. They're simply propaganda.

From this central premise Wilkie hangs various conspiracy theories, half truths, and outright untruths. This is particularly problematic when this central claim is entirely wrong, as Mattis did refer to earlier Sarin attacks in the press conference:
