He sounded pretty reasonable to me. I think he will aquit himself very well in front of the Senate Commitee. I also believe that unlike Manafort he will be acquitted if he is charged (which I doubt) and taken to trial. Especially after everything that Mueller has found regarding the ties between high ranking officials in the Trump campaign and administration and Russian criminals and spooks. My prediction is that Mr. McCabe will not be convicted any crimes and his pension will be restored when all of the facts come to light and after that happens the hard core Trump loons will start up with the “Deep State” crap in unison.

I don’t think McCabe was trying to make himself president.

That’s true, but it is their duty to protect the US from being infested by a corrupt foreign entity. There appears to be evidence that several members of the Trump campaign and administration have close ties to foreign criminals and spies. I commend the agents for their efforts.

Fired for lying multiple times. He even pushed hearsay. What he is admitting to is a group of un-elected officials participating in an active coup attempt and you find nothing wrong with that. Telling.

He was attempting to overthrow an election. Not all members of a coup are trying to make themselves the leader

McCabe is protesting the grounds on which he was fired and has not been charged much less convicted of any crime. What he is admitting to is that he and other high ranking counter terrorism, counter espionage and law enforcement agents were looking out for our Republic by starting an investigation in light of the outrageous circumstances they were faced with.

My prediction is that after Mueller releases all of the information regarding Trump’s campaign and several members of his administration and inaugural comitee and their ties to Russian criminals and spies, McCabe, Comey, Rosenstein, Strzok, Ohr and others will be completely exonerated. Then I predict that the hard core Trump loons will start screeching about the “Deep State” crap again. What is your prediction? Post it here and we can come back in a few months and see who is closer to being right.

You can rationalize anything but the underlying problem here is that he admits to an attempted coup.

    The Justice Department statement.

Just because their pick for President lost, doesn't mean they were in a outrageous situation. In fact what was outrageous is how these corrupt law men behaved with their failed coup.

My prediction, you are once again going to be disappointed.

It is great that you are now in full support of the DOJ in this instance however now that McCabe, Comey, Strzok, Rosenstein and others will be able to get their side of the story out along with the information they were privy to and not at liberty to discuss because of the ongoing investigation, I think their actions will come into a different light. We shall see.

Outtakes of that interview have been all over the news this morning, especially the part about Rosenstein volunteering to wear a wire.

I always figured if anyone was gonna sing like a bird it would be McCabe.

Welcome to your new job, Bob Barr...

I am saying that all of the facts that they were privy to at the time of their actions have not come to light because of the ongoing investigation. I think that McCabe, Strzok, Comey and Ohr are good solid public servants who were doing their job as best they could.

They'd better be lawyerin' up right now...

It seems obvious that Comey was trying to be the next iteration of J.Edgar Hoover, either McCabe or Rosenstein is a liar and Strzok lol really that guys too dumb to be a Walmart greeter let alone an FBI agent.

For which they had no evidence at the time and still do not. And their job is to investigate crimes, not overthrow a President through a secret political coup.

That they did not want Trump but wanted Clinton for President. That they had protected Clinton in the email investigation thinking she would win and give them cover. That they concocted the Russian collusion story to try and prevent him from winning and then to bring down is administration.

And no roll in a 25th Amendment process but were plotting how to concoct one even having the Deputy Director of the DOJ where a wire and try and entrap the President. IOW a political coup based of phony grounds.

Dumb and arrogant - they literally thought they could do anything and get away with it. People like that almost always get busted.

I love how McCabe is already running his big dumb mouth. You know Rosenstein wants to kick his ass right now.

100% agree those dudes thought they were above the law and specifically Comey showed he would hold power over anyone regardless of party. Everyone should agree Comey needed fired

That story is already out and it does not look very good. We are all privy to the information they used to try and take down Trump because Buzzfeed published it.

Trump should have fired or asked for Comey's resignation the moment he walked through the Oval Office door. Rosenstein laid out all the reasons why he should have been canned Day One....
