MEDIA EXPOSED ONCE AGAIN. ATLANTA SHOOTING

Nick Sandman has got over it rather handsomely. Even though the settlements with the media outlets were never disclosed I have a funny feeling that Nick will never need for the rest of his life. And I believe that Sandman’s attorneys are also going after the high profile celebrities that slandered and shamed him.

 

Or federally charged with inciting riots.

Happened to listen to a podcast with Joe Rogan yesterday, former seal was discussing with him police training tactics for detaining a suspect which relays mostly on brute force tactics, and a severe lack of martial arts, in particular jujitsu training for takedown , Control and cuffing them


It was a real surprise to learn how they lack in that area. With proper training of leverage, 2 in shape cops should be able to control a suspect with less danger to themselves, and the perp.

Anyway, given the circumstances, its unfortunate, but a justified shooting. Sorry if that pisses anyone off, but from my view, I see no issue there

The time to fight the cops is in the court room not on the street. I'm dark skinned Portuguese and am regularly mistaken for Latino or Middle Eastern. Back in the 1980's I was in the all night Laundromat. Two guys with a knife came up to me on the sidewalk when I was carrying my laundry to the car and demanded my wallet and car keys. I pulled my firearm and pointed it at the one closest to me and told him if he wanted to live to throw his knife in the storm drain, he complied. They then turned and ran off. I went back in to get the rest of my laundry. Someone in the bar across the street called the cops telling them I was robbing two guys, they saw my gun but not the knife. Two cops came in the back door and one in the front all with guns out. I put my hands up and leaned against the dryers as instructed. I told them I was armed, I have a permit to carry. The cop that frisked me took my nickle plated firearm and just threw it on the concrete floor. As angry as I was, I went with the program till they let me go after checking my permit the storm drain and the knife was there. I told the cop that threw my gun on the floor that his department would pay to fix any damage. I had the gun completely refinished at S&W and sent the PD the bill. When they didn't respond, I filed a lawsuit in small claims. They just paid me before the court date. The firearm came back looking better than it was to begin with. The cop must have had other complaints as he was assigned to the school police.

 

The time to sentence people to death is in the courtroom, not the street.

Got any idea how long it takes to get good enough at jujitsu or really any martial art for it to be effective? By the way you don't see many people in MMA that are pure strikers or pure grapplers any more. You have to be good at both. And that takes time and training. A lot of which cops don't have once they leave the academy.

There is a reason for weight classes in most combat arts. Size matters in hand to hand combat be it jujitsu, or bar room brawling or anything in between. The larger person can soak up more punishment and deliver more damage.
