I'm also a liberal. And a socialist. And a progressive. And I absolutely don't agree with this (my bold). By 'personal situations' you really mean 'choices'. We all know that. You know it. If you think the world is so very rich and morally bankrupt that it should actually extend HELP those who have all those opportunities to get ahead, yet still manage to screw up - while there are children starving elsewhere - then you are far more of a 2%er than I'll ever be. And yes, every one of us has the same opportunities to get ahead. We live in the FIRST WORLD, not the THIRD. It's all a function of the decisions we make.
