Yeah, that's generally what I feel. I'm glad I only have to pay 50 bucks a month to get anywhere I need to rather than 300 dollars for car payment, 80 dollars for insurance and 60 bucks every time I need to fill up my gas tank, which used to be once a week (approximately 240 dollars a month). I wish the transportation was expanded because it's so damn convenient and cheap, and I meet interesting people on it, should I choose to not ignore people and play some gameboy or read a magazine on the way to an appointment instead of dealing with traffic and people who don't understand 'right of way'.
BS ALERT! Conservatives believe in and support things that are for the common good. We also believe in the Constitution, self-sufficiency, and honesty(unlike liberals).
You know, conservative means they support the status quo, which would include all those things you mentioned. Most conservatives support these restrictions, just when it starts choking business that they say enough is enough.
Big business right now is more than well off to tighten their belts right now. I don't understand why the people with the most are the ones who want to tighten the belts of everyone else.
Fat guy tells hungry guy he should eat less. It's been a tough sell but the fat guy's got charisma. However, that charisma only goes so far.
