What? By democrats you mean members of the democratic party? They don't get to pick who wins the nobel. Anyway, my suspicion, like i said earlier, is because the left prefers to award people not based on merit but race/ethnicity/sex,etc.

The left is very bothered by the fact that white men are responsible for most of the scientific and technological discoveries that have propelled human advancement for the last several hundred years. Their Marxist ideology demands that everyone is equally smart and capable, and if one group is lagging behind another, it is only due to "racism" or some other type of unfair bias. To correct for this, they take it upon themselves to give a "leg up" to women, minorities, or anyone else they believe is "underrepresented", often by lowering the standards for them, or giving them "extra points" to secure a win. It would be interesting to examine the contributions offered by the white men she beat out for the prize, to see if they really lost on merit, and not just because their racial group and gender won a few too many times in the past.

I was reading the other day about how some teacher stopped assigning certain exercises in class, because boys outperformed girls by a large margin. Guess it had something to do with spacial recognition, had it been something that the girls were better, say multitasking..., it most likely wouldn't never have happened.

Also funny how the left accuses the right of being anti science, yet tries to shut down not only speech but also studies and sciences that focus on gender differences.

What gets me are the double standards. They are more than happy to brag about the advantages their groups have over whites, and there are some, but the second anyone dares to suggest white men have an advantage, it gets shouted down as racism and white supremacy. White men are not allowed to be better than anyone else, at anything - except for maybe destroying the world for profit, the left likes to make that point whenever they can.

Considering that Obama won one of these types of awards for doing literally nothing but being a Black man, I doubt anybody but a special circle of elitist give a damn about the Nobel prize.

Iran hasn't allowed it's hatred for western society impede it's utilization of western universities. Virtually 100% of the nuclear physicists now working to create Irans first atomic weapon studied in western universities. President Carter expelled 50,000 Iranian students in the 1970's, in hindsight, allowing them to return was a colossal mistake.

 

Odd as many decades ago the major nation Islam state of Pakistan had a elected female leader.

The US in that regard is far far behind Pakistan.
