    PR stunts aren't necessarily functions.

    Pelosery claimed she wanted to open the government. We know she's lying, but that's her claim. She can't do that while stretching her face out in front of cameras 1000s of miles away.

    On Snopes there is a lot of negative innuendo but no absolute statement as to true or false. The Pelosi people have not responded to inquiries by Snopes. While the number may or may not be 93 I would guess that there were enough family members of the delegation to make it uncomfortable to discuss publicly.

    Any presidents immediate family should be protected and be given preferences - you don’t want some power to be able to indirectly threaten or harm presidents family, no matter what party you like.

    First Lady and kids cannot travel commercial and should be always accompanied by body guards.

    I agree. But a trip to Florida is not a necessity, and it showed complete disrespect to make the costly trip while the government is shut down.

    You seem to be under the impression that Trump cancelled the Pelozi junkett as a cost savings instrument. He cancelled it as a retaliatory act for her calls to suspend the state of the union address and to show her who has the power here. This Melania flight serves to rub salt in that wound and highlights his being president and the fact that pelozis position in government is subservient to his. Well played Mr President.

    Pelozi never visited the troops in Afghanistan but suddenly during the shutdown it's imperative she does so for national security? It was a PR stunt and she should stay in DC and negotiate. Trump can and did make her stay home but only she can choose to negotiate.
